My mother had Parkinson’s for over 15 years. It was so tough on her and she was such a wonderful Mom. My wife and I took care of her and watching her decline was so sad.

My own father died of pancreatic cancer that came on very fast. My family didn't have much notice and he deteriorated very quick. Kirk Gibson was one of my Dads favorite players and he was a die hard Tigers fan. This video made me sad knowing I didn't have enough conversations with him. Especially in the last few months before he passed. Talk to the ones you love. You never know when you will lose them.

After Kirk said “I’m that guy”, everything after that just brought me to tears. I can’t say I’ve experienced having a loved one get diagnosed with Parkinson’s but I can only imagine. I’m so happy that Gibby has learned to live with this awful disease and seems to know how to make the best of an awful situation. And for Gabe Kapler, my heart goes out to him and he’s such a class act.

I loved Gabe when he was here in Philly, I'm glad he's had and is having success in SF he's a good dude. And go Kirk, always a tough guy and very directed. I hope he has a long time before it overtakes him.

My mom passed from the same dementia that Bruce Willis has. She died last year at the age of 70. Had it for at least 12 yrs. It’s these horrible diseases that strip away the person we love.
