Kirk, I will balance my daydreams of the perfect Camry TRD with practicality and workaday economic realities. By doing so I must immediately eliminate thoughts of the V10 engine from the LFA and replace it with something more prosaic and still in production. My Camry TRD would be an AWD wagon with a 'modified' 6 speed manual GR Yaris drivetrain with limited slip differentials front and rear. The final drive ratio would be adjusted to allow the 2.5 Dynamic Force engine to rev at 1,750 rpm at a comfortable 60 mph cruising speed. To cut design costs for the Camry wagon body, I would reuse the body shell of the new Crown Signia without the silly, oversized sunroof. As the A25-FKS engine has already demonstrated in the RAV4 TRD, a 3,500 lbs tow capacity ought to be achievable with regular gas. The final design choice for sane running costs would be 17 inch wheels with plenty of sidewall to handle the vicissitudes of our potholed roads in comfort. Sensibly sized rims lead to sensible tire replacement costs over the long, long life of the Camry as well as space for a full-size spare under the cargo floor. For those who prefer their Camry TRD wagon with an automatic transmission, the Signia's AWD Hybrid powertrain is ready to go. By leveraging existing designs and production plants, Toyota ought to be able to deliver either model for a price around $33,000😉🤩😁

The rear looks nice too, and them leaving that exhaust outlet open definitely hints at a GR or TRD model upcoming in the near future. It’s funny how the Honda Accord fans were itching to criticize the heavily refresh Camry after how disappointed they are in the accord 😂😂 and truth be told I can see why they are so salty, the Camry is still several steps ahead of the Accord, the previous generation and this generation both Camry looked sportier than the Accord. And let’s not even get started in the interior, where new Toyotas resemble more Lexus in their premium interiors, offer more colors, and now more tech, 360 camera, Panoramic Sunroof, full digital dash, yeah Honda has a lot of catching up to do.

I think the deleted exhaust area on the right side is for left side market so I don't necessarily buy into TRD/GR theory. As for the center tunnel, I do think it is necessary even for e-Four setup because of the relatively thick power line that needs to drive the rear motor. Go look at the new Prius AWD--it too is not completely flat in the rear floor. It needs some insulation from exhaust heat as well.

well the ES series is based on the Camry so that shouldn't be shocking wouldn't mind a GR Camry which they've done with every other Toyota coupe/sedan and yeah having the 3.5 L V6 for the performance versions is only fair as it was always in the higher trims anyway also a midsize sedan like the Camry doesn't necessarily need a big muscly v8 engine like say a 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS LS6 454 had 540 HP and 565 FT LB torque and that in a car that weighed 3,300 LBs Similar to a 2024 Toyota Camry LE and a 536 LB weight savings from 1970 and it had an 8% horsepower advantage over an XSE V6 equipped 2024 Camry and their 0-60 MPH times are almost identical 5.1 secs for the V6 Camry and 5.3 secs for the Chevelle SS though the 1/4 mile is a bit better in the Chevelle at 13 secs and the Camry at 14.2 secs

I agree that rims are way more attractive than other on XSE trim. One thing if I would like to see on TRD or GR Camry Performance, Toyota have to upgrade their game in term of design exception, engine exception as well as some toys for that unique performance. Not just copy and paste on XSE into Performance TRD or GR, whatsoever, all of us deserve to see something that Honda or other Japanese has not made yet. Maybe V6 as Camry community loves to see, and some distinguish grille front and back rear; the biggest thing is more aggressive look, overall. More downforce, add some rear wings on the back, add canals, widebody would be awesome,..... TRD what means to be, not just rebadge from XSE please, TOYOTA!!!🙏🙏
