Danny Kim is AMAZING!!! If (or more like WHEN) his prototype goes to market, he will REVOLUTIONIZE transportation. I want that covered motorcycle w/ the gyroscope!! (The folding motorcycle is equally amazing.) It addresses parking issues, as well as making it easy to carry light cargo (and it could probably be fitted w/ a roof rack as an option). Danny has a great eye and his design solutions are just as pleasing to the eye as they are functional. EXCELLENT story! :D

Thank you so much for posting this kind of videos. I am currently working on a juice that wont be using any kind of preservatives yet it will last and be healthier, am still testing. By watching this kind of videos it actually motivates me to keep on working and keep on testing. Thank you so much.... and hopefully one day you will make a video about my juice.

Innovative guy with the right heart. I think Tesla Motors should invest in them. At least, it can provide the batteries controls/charging/management controls for this bike. He will be successful. The gyro self balancing tech is just the cream of the crop for this bike. I think one door is fine. Choose either right OR left open door, not both!.

I like his rooftop conference idea, I worked at a company close to an airport for 17 years, I often recommeneded we place a conference or meeting room out in the open on our roof. With no chairs we would have much shorter meetings and with airplanes coming overhead intermitently, it would shut up the bloviators for a few seconds and give others a chance to speak up and join the conversation.

Just read this on their website: "Reserve your C-1 for as little as $250 USD. The 2014 C-1 is estimated to cost as low as $19,900 USD after federal tax incentives. Your price may be lower depending on state incentives; details will be released as we near production."

I'm hoping Danny can pull this off,we need aerodynamic commuter vehicles like this.My concern is the gyros controling the lean angle,and the overall ride feel.I prefer the gyros for just low speed and standing ,with high speed motors ramping up the gyros in a impact,so the vehicle can stay upright.Danny designed a landing gear for it,I think he knows if those gyros fail,the bike falls over,it can't happen period.Education is the key here ,we need to change the way we commute,the positives are just too many to list.excuse my writing ,I tend to rush with my comments,I speak much clearer.
@davidbradley398210 жыл бұрын
enough gyros in the right place and it will fly :).

Gyros have nothing to do with the weak force of gravity.Newton's first law of motion.They act within the laws of physics.I wish it were true that gyros defeat gravity,they do not.Oh well.

@AReptileMan The price should be around $16,000 and they're hoping to release it in 2013. It's fully electric with a range of about 150 miles... and should accelerate from 0-to-60 in 6-8 seconds.

It's not on the market yet, though he's hoping to get it out by late 2013 at a price of $24,000 (US dollars). Though once he gets into full production in 2014 he hopes to get the price down to $16,000.

What about the UK or a self-build kit? I would love to become an assembler where you could send me parts, and I could assemble it here, so there are no taxes, as the vehicle is assembled in the UK. Also, you could provide a kit which orientates the fog light to the left, as we drive on the left side of the road here, and don't want to blind oncoming traffic

@jaquefroid That would be the (estimated) price for the U.S. I believe that only the scooters were meant for the developing world. I think this one is for the U.S. market.

Great video. Really love the bike, how much does it cost & what's the range? Does it have bigger wheels? The EV is interesting, for me the only drawback is the size (price?.)...if it was the same dimensions as a 500cc petrol bike.....
@Shawps12 жыл бұрын
I do love the prospects of owning a C-1 however, in an accident I can sea that an impact would easily kill a driver even if the bike doesn't fall over. The person inside would be slammed into the side windows and unless the car was made from some type of indestructible material, it would turn the driver and passenger into a strawberry shake that fire fighters would have to dismantle to retrieve its occupants. What safety gear will the C-1 come with? What protects the passenger ?

i like the folding motorcycle idea; i ride a folding bike every day. i think it's a great concept but i'm just wondering what else or how you transport more practical things like grocery store bags in this. it's not every day i would need to transport a flat screen tv or mattress. but a bunch of bags - i would need to move around things like this. i guess i don't understand the technology. but it looks cool.

Cargo bike....I want one NOW. I can totally see a couple biz opportunities this vehicle makes possible where I live. Screw the folding feature and electric motor. Give it a 250cc gas engine and 6 speed trans. Yes! Gyro-stabilized-motorcycle...If the system prevents leaning, then how does it lean to turn? And if all that requires digital electronic control, what happens when it fails (because it will) ? Lifetime rider, just asking... The guy busts his ass. Innovative too. Very cool.
