I've gotten in the habit of listening to kishi bashi in the morning so I don't shoot myself in the head by the time I leave the house. Very appeasing music

I hope you're still here. Most of the time I want to fucking die, but there's something that keeps me here. Often it's thoughts of those who might mourn me and the pain I'd cause them, but at other times it's just as simple as peering into the beauty of pain of the world through art and music. We'll be gone one day, but before then... lets make it count.

One day i suddenly started humming to this song then i started thinking where ive heard this before. I searched so long for this song and its unreal how hard it was to find it, i was googling "odyssey in the desert" and "amazing performance at park violin" because those were the only things that came to mind about this.(i know this had nothing to do with odyssey but that's what i remembered) Now i decided to try again once more and the name "Kishi Bashi" came up and just blew up in my head saying: "this is the one!" I heard and listened to this song for the first time when Michael from Vsauce included it in one of his videos, gave it a listen then fell in love with this. so glad i took the time to try and find this!

i just went to the comment section thinning to myself "were do i know Kishi Bashi from".I loved him ever since Vsauce released that video too, apparently :)

I was just in the same situation, its just that the only thing I distinctly remembered was the part of the song that went "In the desert, you suck my finger." Googled it and got Kishi Bashi. Lol

Someone showed me this song about 5 years ago on chatango, saw it once since then. But took me about half an hour to find it tonight. I believe it was "great violinist" that lead me to something mentioning kishi bashi.

Atticus, in the Desert (First Part) Oh in the desert, we tried to Love like they do in movies Face to face end of story As twins we created an era Two souls in prime sahara Swallowed by sand and time we play What began as an epic Ended a parched pathetic Arid and vapid like our attachments I was in love with you You're all i ever knew I gave my head to you The way i used to do It's in a better place now What you decide to do with it is up to you Like all things you feed on Oh in the desert you sucked my finger It wasn't meant to be, it was like water from leather Oh my god, what can i pay you to stop So in my desert what was the nature of your visit to my domain Business or pleasure? Oh my god, you just don't care if i drop I was in love with you You're all i ever knew I gave my head to you The way i used to do It's in a better place now What you decide to do with it is up to you Oh in the desert you sucked my finger Bright Whites (Second part) You and me at the edge of the world With a pretty little smile for me to see New bright whites and a cage full of ice And a naked little canopy to feed my disease And if you're to smile at me I could cry by land or sea After you said that you like Big Red I opened up my mind and skipped a beat Cufflinks and hands in wrong places and faces And creepy little movies made me weep And if you're to say to me What is mine is yours to keep Well you know, I'll have to see If all the stars aligned we could've solved the mystery It's a partial fantasy We're living in a land that went astray from history
