"Long Beach We're KISS, I Want Everybody 2 Come Along With Us, You Got Nothin 2 Lose 2-3-4" - Awww man this was the 1st KISS BOOTLEG I ever Heard/Had. My Uncle Bob & I loved Paul saying that after DEUCE. I loved All those Bootlegs "SNEAK ATTACK, TAKES TOKYO, DESTROYS ANAHEIM, BLITZ LONDON, IN JAPAN, KISS MY AXE, BARBARIZE, SIMMONS METEOR" etc etc.

wow this footage gives a real flavor for the way Kiss looked then. Ya know... the show seemed so bright and big back then but it is So tame as compared to shows now. not much lights and small stage as compared to now. this is really cool to see. I saw Kiss several times at MSG in junior high. this footage is the closest thing I have ever seen to those nights. I feel like im 16 again. thank you for posting and to whomever got the camera in there that night. very friggin cool man !

just checked one more time. side one of alive is completely from wildwood (did an a/b test in my studio),and and from kissfaq: "KISS’ own notes in KISStory indicate that “Deuce,” “Strutter,” “Got To Choose,” “Hotter Than Hell,” and “Firehouse” come from Wildwood. “She,” is Cobo with Davenport overdubs or splices, as are “Watchin’ You” and “Rock Bottom.”“C’mon And Love Me” is Cleveland, as are “100,000 Years,” “Rock And Roll All Nite,” and “Cold Gin.” “Black Diamond” is partially Wildwood"

@Defender78 super8 cameras didn't record sound and no audio exists from this show (at least that anyone has uncovered). The film did deteriorate a little over time, but it was restored. However, it most likely was pretty dark.

Nick, Thanks for your response, however the ALIVE sessions were recorded at multiple shows/nights at multiple venues....there are "parts" from this TULSA performance (primarily drums) that made it to ALIVE.

its not the unedited alive recording, this audio is from tulsa. alive was not recorded in tulsa
@nickvivid12 жыл бұрын
drums are close but not a match, and the drums on that entire portions of that tour are all pretty close to each other. they were a workhorse by that time. check out deuce from davenport or wildwood, both those sound like "alive" too and one of them is.

Why the cut in songs......
@gates692 жыл бұрын
Because this was originally recorded on small 8mm film reels which only recorded a few minutes of footage. It was common to stop and start the recording. I’m the one who uncovered the Milwaukee footage from ‘75 & ‘76. That’s all there was so nobody is holding anything back.

@Defender78 I would think that their lighting rigs in late 75 and early '76 would have been pretty rudimentary, especially compared to when they began headlining in ernest (after Destroyer) really broke big. And this would have been primitive compared to the computer controlled lighting we are accustomed to today. Just my two cents. Keep on rockin' brutha!!!

Hey Nick, do some comparative analysis. It will be a fun exercise for you and you will get it. Let me know know how the experiment turns out.
@Defender7814 жыл бұрын
awsome footage, but why is the audio from a different date?? also, were KISS shows really THIS dark? Yikes you cant even see the ban! Compare this to a modern show. Did KISS not have enough lighting back in the day, or is this just old worn deteriorated footage?
@Deucealive754 жыл бұрын
I think the band looks better on the darker stage. And the black and white footage from Winterland in January of 75 is fantastic. KISS helped define what a heavy metal band should look like with these early outfits. The "black metal" guys still use Gene's 75 and earlier look.

@troutmask197013 жыл бұрын
i prefer them in june 75 because the tempo of the songs wasn't as fast as later tours.
@PerpetualArt6 жыл бұрын
troutmask1970 + I agree!! Kiss started playing stuff way too fast. By the mid 80s it was ridiculous, even though I don't compare the two timelines, because its 2 different bands.
@Deucealive754 жыл бұрын
@@PerpetualArt You wouldn't like the Providence RI show from August 3 1975 when they opened for Sabbath. Deuce and Strutter were played very fast. KISS must have been on a mission that night. Ace had a hard time keeping up on Deuce. lol. Both bands audio from that night are here on KZbin. Both bands were amazing. IMO the ultimate concert to see if I had a time machine. The recording of Sabbath that night would make an amazing live album. It was that good.
@nickvivid12 жыл бұрын
how is it fact? what evidence do you have to support the use of the word "fact"? i know pete uses some of the same fills as he did in that entire leg of the tour. but that doesn't put eddie kramer with a mobile truck at the location of the gig
@nickvivid12 жыл бұрын
Yeah but Tulsa was not one of them. Unless you have solid evidence to prove otherwise.
@nickvivid12 жыл бұрын
checked them side by side.. maybe deuce - ace's solos are a convincing arguement. otherwise, nothing else really matches
