This performance is why so many people feel that the original four guys are the one and only KISS. When they have their stuff together there is just magic. They are very close in this show to being as great as they were in the 70s. The showmanship and the music are on point.

I discovered KISS in 1977 when my best friend snuck her older brother's Destroyer and Alive albums. Vintage KISS was just so gritty and raw. I loved it then, and I love it to this day. Great reaction. It took me back. Thank you!

I’ve been a member of the kiss army since 1977. Proud to say my 18 year old son and I have met these four iconic musicians and my son had each member sign two Barry Levine limited edition lithographs for him and they are proudly displayed on his bedroom wall.

this is one of my fav Kiss songs. Gene has said that he was playing around and playing the hook to the Stones song Bitch backwards, and that's how the hook for Deuce was created.

Just another example of how insanely awesome this band is. The original 4 were the goods. Deuce has been an opener for tons of shows and gets the crowd going. First track on their debut album and the first track on Alive! as well. Damn awesome

In 1976 me and two of my high school friends drove to Roanoke,VA, to see a Kiss concert. We decided to stay in the hotel across from the coliseum and watch the show that night and drive home the next day. After checking in we were heading to our room and ran in to four guys staying in the room across from ours.... it was Kiss without their make-up on, but we didn't realize it was them until later. It was a great show.

Ace Frehley said that "Deuce" was the first song he was shown when doing his audition for Kiss and that he "Loved it from the first note." As others have pointed out, Gene based the riff on a Rolling Stones song called "Bitch" and Ace has since admitted to being probably the biggest rolling Stones fan. So I might be wrong about this but I think the reason why Ace said that he loved the song from the first time he heard it, was because of him recognizing where Gene got it from. "Ah, so you want this to be a Rolling Stones song, no problem, I'm right behind you!"
@chrisrobinson38932 жыл бұрын
There is no way to tell you how big KISS was in the 1970's. They were on the cover of every magazine every month, they had toys, they had a marvel comic book that had their blood in it. Everyone thought KISS stood for Kings In Satan's Service... Gene said he wondered what human flesh tasted like. They were like the Beatles, we all had the Kiss bible gum cards, and you could by Kiss dolls. It was a Kiss world... they exploded globally after this, playing one show in Brazil for 200,000 people. They 80's hair bands, where all the teens that listened to KISS and then started their own bands. But the 70's was the golden era, with their own movie and much much more. The only thing bigger, was Star Wars.
