What bothers me as a diehard Kiss fan was that in 1979 their setlist was weak compared to 77. I understand the new album, but they only did 2 songs from Dynasty, and 2 from the solo albums. And they cut I stole your Love, I want You, Shock Me, Take Me, Christine Sixteen, Ladies Room, and possibly more. I guess the people who loved the Alive setlist were bummed in late 77.

I was 10 and lived through this amazing time,we didn’t know what they really looked like without makeup,we didn’t know their personalities well enough outside of their characters,we didn’t know the inner politics or fighting of the band ,it was pure magic and mystique. And there was an innocence still even though the 70s were wild,if I could go back in a time machine and just visit that time again for a little while.

This is AWESOME !! I wish I had been at this show, but my parents wouldn't let me go, at 9 years of age. I had to wait until the Unmasked tour, in '79 before I got to see them live, for the first time. I just watched this with butterflies in my stomach ! Can't wait to see the rest of the show.

I saw them at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver backed by BB Gabor the guy who did nyet nyet Soviet Soviet jewelry and I got in even though I was underage. I was refused the next week for Canned heat.. I don't know if this is the one. They played once before in Vancouver either at the P.N.E. forum or the P.N.E. gardens, you used to be able to climb a rope into the boys bathroom

KISS played in Vancouver for 1st time Opening for SAVOY BROWN/MANFREDD MANN on May 28 1974 @ PNE Gardens (My Grampa was @ the show), then they played on HTH Tour @ Commodore Ballroom Jan.9.1975 (2 Shows in 1 Night) & rounded out 70's on Love Gun Tour 1977 and Nov.19.1979 on Dynasty Tour with LOVERBOY playing their 1st show live.

Thanks for the date of the Commodore Ballroom show cause I was there but I don't think that there was 2 shows. If you look up about the book on the Commodore Ballroom they show pictures of Kiss on stage, and it looks like a school dance. Just like when Heart played my school dance at Alpha secondary school in Burnaby British Columbia, a part of Greater Vancouver

The Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver and it holds about 2 thousand I think . I was there, I got in at age 14 even though the drinking age is 19 . They didn't let me in the next week for Canned Heat. I wore the same clothes since I got away with it the week before for Kiss..
