Man... nothing like the originals. The moment the curtain dropped at the reunion tour, half the women fainted and half the dudes were crying. What band gets that kind of response anymore??? Watch Peter on the unplugged show... so much joy and excited like a child. Changed the mood for the whole show. I know Eric and Replica Spaceman #2 are good musicians, but they just don't elicit the same kind of response from the fans. The current lineup is cheered. The originals are revered. There's a difference.

I recently watched a video of Peter Criss sharing some Drumming skills to a few fans. A couple were younger and a couple were much older. Made me weep, happy tears. My Dad was a 'Skins' man; he recently passed and I inherited his 'Kit'. 🥁 🎶

If you want to rate Peter Criss, listen to his early solos in Alive and Alive II You can't expect an old man to perform any better than that. I would like to see Tommy Lee at age 50 see if he could play the same as Shout at the Devil concert.

You know what constitutes a great drum solo? A full arena that hangs onto every beat. Was Peter a great technical drummer? No, there are many better than him. But there are few that can match his ability to hold an audience in the palm of his hand! And, how many drummers put drum companies on the world stage? Very few.

It's funny, you can see the videos online. Peter couldn't compose a drum solo of his own. Yet another feather in the hat of Gene for him to brag about smh. I'll say it over and over...Peter was only "influencial because of the band he was in. His solos were never anything more than 8th note repetitive single-strokes monotony with a flanger thrown own so people don't fall asleep immediately. If not for DDRUM triggers his drumming in 1996-on would've been inaudible.

Is that an either or decision for every band or can you put on a show and be good. Thanks for clearing up The fact that Peter Criss is really awesome, my 35 years of drumming was no help there.
