I discovered Kiss in 1975 when ALIVE! came out. The were one of the bands that got me through high school (1976-1980). I used to have the 1978 pressings of the solo albums, but those copies are now lost to time. I currently have the remastered solo album CDs.

Had Ace on vinyl. Still have it. The others on 8 track lol. Those 3 are long gone

A KISS "Destroyer" super deluxe box set was just announced. 4 CD's and a Blu-Ray. It has the album remastered. Gene and Paul's demos, outtakes, alternates and single mixes, plus a live show from France in 1976. And a lot of trinkets! I'm interested, but it's a little pricy. I may just go for the 2 CD. CD 2 has the best of CD's 2, 3 and 4.

Great video I love KISS this video makes me want to go listen to the cds of those albums even if not a book then a full page write up talking about the albums should have been included l. Enjoy the set it looks Amazing. Take care!!

I used to own all 4 when they came out in 1978. The one I liked the most, Ace’s record, always sounded muffled. Not as clear as the sound on the other 4. I wonder if the new remastered LP addressed that problem? When you play “New York Groove “, for example, and you pay attention to the hi hats, it sounds as if the tape player is out of alignment.

I was lucky enough to get this with a discount code and free shipping for about $80 when it came out. It's insane that some people are asking $400 for it but it does make sense since it's double the price when it came out and it's out of print. Really cool video. I don't think I saw anyone do an unboxing of this set. Are you going to be getting the Destroyer 45th Anniversary Super Deluxe? It looks so damn incredible. I already pre-ordered. Looks so good.

I really enjoyed this video and really wish I'd taken better care of the LPs when I had them, but a few years later, I started getting tired of KISS and just didn't look after them very well. Paul's, Gene's and Peter's albums had a lot of surprises in store for us, and that was enjoyable, the experience, that is. Some of the music on all three was so cringe (and it's probably even worse now), I cringe the most because of how I carried on endlessly about KISS at that age (15) and wish I could visit my younger self and say "your taste in music will be much more broadened, you'll fall in love with jazz, classical, soundtrack LPs, you're going to ask KISS who. I know you don't believe me now, but leave yourself open - don't force yourself to transform, but just let it happen as it does." Now, would I enjoy spending the weekend with my younger self? NAH, not really.
