KISS-251 fact is that when they filmed that Paul nearly went blind when one of the pipes burst near his face
@brick25110 жыл бұрын
Guitarists are Gods Hey Ace, long time no see. That reminds me of another time where Paul could of been blinded. During the dynasty tour in 1979 he was supposed to wear a head set that shoots out lasers to mimic his eye laser technique in the Kiss movie "Kiss Meets The Phantom". The idea was abandoned due to him possibly damaging his eye, but it would of been cool to see that laser stunt though during the show.

@Donal Finn Chosei Funahara? They had some great tunes that weren't released as well. For whatever reason they passed on some solid Ace tunes that I would've loved to have heard on Creatures or anything from the Elder. Bryan Adams wrote with Kiss for Animalilze or LIU from what I recall. Once they got to LIU they gravitated to the 8th note chunking away and just basic rock beat. Gone were the days of songs like She or Cold Gin in order to try for another cheesy hit single.
@Redhotlugnut3 жыл бұрын
@Donal Finn Say if they took the tracks that were more rock oriented from The Elder and used the tracks from Kiss Killerz EP along with the strong demos, they coulda had a great 10 track album for 1981 instead of the Elder. I like I and The Oath but the rest no thanks. Unmasked and Dynasty have several great songs on them but to me the production got really thin and whimpy. If they woulda had a bit thicker/heavier guitars woulda made a huge difference. I also really liked Ace's stuff. Not a good singer at all but his songs just rock.

I see a lot of posts about people being shocked that KISS dressed like this. I'm 39 years old. I was too young for any memories of the the original 4 in makeup. Animalize, Asylum and Crazy Nights were my first real-time memories of KISS. Of course, I was aware that this band had a history with the makeup and such. Their past fascinated me, but I also liked the current (mid-80s) line up. They still had cool stages, gimmicks and they seemed to get as much magazine face time and MTV airtime as the other current glam rockers. Now that I'm way older and have had time to go through most of the audio and video history (as any lifelong KISS fan does) this era is no less important or nostalgic as the rest. For people who got into KISS when I did (the Carr Kulick era), there was an understanding that the band had history and was a little more interesting than the other glam bands. I did have this fantasy in the back of my mind that they would put the makeup back on someday... but it didn't happen. Then 1996 happened...

What KISS accomplished with no real radio support is incredible. Paul Stanley is an incredible performer and singer. Heck I even saw him in Phantom of the Opera.

I'm really proud to say that i grew up in the 80s KISS era !! "Asylum " was the first rock concert/ KISS tour i ever went to and as a teen this meant a lot to me. Paul Stanley is a rock god and my hero!!!! I love KISS past present and future!!!!!!!!

Even though I´ve gone for the heavier and heavier metal as it has represented itself, this was the best Kiss song, and I can still feel effect, very underappreciated song, famous as it is.

This is the first time I've ever heard this song, and it's awesome. I can't stop listening to it. Kiss rocks

KiSS exposed was one of the videos I had along with Ozzy "Don't Blame Me" and Pantera "Vulgar Video" that I used to watch all the time after the bar with whoever I picked up that night ......

Who would thought Immigrant Song influence would’ve made it into the verse of this epic classic sappy KISS ballet ? Nicely done 👏🤟

Paul dancing looks like he's enthusiastically waving at the camera like "hey look at me!!" And it's just really funny
