Tinkerbell is a female ringneck, so they are a pair, of sorts. Tinkerbell seems to be in nesting mode. She is receptive to Beaker, and I think there's a video of him courting her and showing off his footwork. When she is out of her nesting spot, and hunkered on her tummy, that's her invitation to him. 😂 I have had two ringnecks in my time. Beautiful birds with cute personalities if you treat them properly and work with them❤

Beaker is so solicitous. He keeps checking on Tink to make sure she’s okay with kisses from him. She seems so tired. And when she slowly reaches up to kiss him, my heart broke. It remind me of 23 years ago, when my mother was struggling and slowly dying. And my dad was so solicitous, and my mother might be able to muster the strength to lift her body a little to try to kiss him.

Yes he is. Sadly he was flirting with a picture of a female ringneck that was painted on a glass jar not long ago. There's a video of it. He was going all out, doing the poses, saying hello, etc., to the image of a yellow ringneck. Since ringmecks are not monogamous, it makes sense that he is already chasing other females now after he got with Tink. It's just their nature. They aren't a lifelong bonded pair the way some bird species are. But since there's only the two of them, they may function as a lifetime bonded pair, unless more females/males get introduced to the home. That would be interesting.

Tinkerbell is young. They've mated now, but I think it just took a little while due to inexperience. Ringnecks don't mate for life, so she wasn't pining over a former love. She was born in captivity most likely (I hope so), and this is probably her first coupling. In the wild they would mate with a different ringneck each season.
