@@fiveh3340 Bakugo used to be my fav character from MHA but they have ruined the story so left it . But after analysing haikyuu Atsumu, Oikawa , Kageyama , Hinata and Kita shinsuke just mesmerised me many people discard shinsuke but for me shinsuke is in another in itself and oikawa , atsumu , kageyama and hinata are just … i dont even have words to describe them

I remember oikawa's short arc how he was yapping about not being as good as kageyama. kita's speech is an effective rebuttal to that.
@hr1ish4 ай бұрын
Kita and Oikawa both have completely different principles though? Kita is content with not even being a starter because he's aware of his own place. He knows that he is a product of his efforts and values, that he plays the position relative to the effort and skill he harnesses, and that there are people like Atsumu who throw themselves so violently into their passions that they're hard to keep up with as a normal person. He knows he doesn't plan to keep up volleyball as his future career and appreciates it for the highschool activity it is (to him). His whole character is so grounding because it revolves around his contentment with what he has and the diligent effort he puts into maintaining that state. Oikawa on the flipside is someone who is never satisfied. I'd argue that he's one of the geniuses he envies so much, but he doesn't see it in himself. He's so focused on constantly improving that he's extra conscious of his own perceived flaws, which is the root of why he harbours so much resentment towards Kageyama. But the same way he's jealous of Kageyama's technical skill, Kageyama also admires his ability to adapt to a team's needs. Kita and Atsumu have drastically different goals, allowing Kita to settle and be grateful for his teammates. Oikawa and Kageyama respect each other, fear each other because of how much they hold the other in regard, and scramble towards the same goal of becoming better players. The speech isn't quite a rebuttal as much as it is a perfect snapshot of his character, the same way Oikawa's insecurities are left bare in his dynamic with Kageyama (and Ushijima).

@@hr1ish Their principles and characters don’t matter, if oikawa was in that substitutes place when kita was about to start his speech oikawa would be like "Wow i see now" and think differently thats what i was saying in the original comment go to episode 10 of part 2 18:57 one guy basically glazes him calling atsumu "Such a prodigy" and at 19:04 the other guy says "I wish i had kageyama's talent". These two people basically summarised oikawa's entire story arc in season 2. the summary being Oikawa not having the belief of reaching the same skill as people he sees as better than him. the exact same as those substitutes which is why i made the link he has resentment against kageyama because he believes he cannot posses the same technical talent kageyama does. Even if he actually can, he doesn't believe it and thats the important bit that kita's speech would crumble into bits with his speech. After those two substitutes finished glazing, Kita explains why a genius's talent and technical skill isn’t just something put into their lap. They work on different scales and think differently compared to the majority like working on a scale of 1 - 20 A - Z effective 10s denser 10s and so on. Kita basically says that people shouldn't dismiss 'geniuses' as different breeds or unreachable because it dismisses the overwhelming difference of hard/intelligent work put in by those geniuses oikawa just couldn’t imagine how people he sees as better get better. Kita's speech clears the smoke

@@hr1ishI don’t really remember their beliefs as much but if I remember right Oikawa is that people will talent will always catch up to him no matter how much he prefixes but Kita’s belief is that their habits are simply just more

i had loved kita since he first appear but this speeches of him is what seal the deal, i really love how he view geniuses and i feel like it's the first time i'm being acknowledged by someone (even though he is fictional) because sometimes i have enough of people praising and envying me as academically genius (even more so when i was in school years back then) like i pay no effort to understand thing, while i find them lacking the effort to understand lessons
