It's actually so fucked when you consider what Kitboga is (very succesfully) doing to be funny should be percieved by a normal, empathic person (were it a real situation) as signs the person they're trying to scam is particularly vulnerable, elderly, potentially with dementia etc etc. Yet the scammers persist for hours and sometimes laugh as well. It has to be something to do with anonymity. At a certain point you have scammed enough people over the internet that it almost feels like a videogame, but with actual cash prizes, which coupled with the danger of doing something super illegal, and the power you have to control and manipulate a person, would be an insane dopamine rush.
