You should be able to turn the oven feet to raise it up a bit so it sits level with the counter tops…that way you won’t see the unfinished side of the laminate. It looks so good, I want those counters!

I love this makeover. You inspire me so much. It turned out so beautiful. I love that you are real. You don’t sugarcoat anything. You show the frustration and the mess ups and how you fix them and move on. Some diy shows they make it look like all goes perfectly with no mistakes but not you and I love that about you. Looks much better! Keep the handles. They pull out the lighter shades from the new counters. Black will get lost on the dark painted surface. You have worked so hard and I hope your cut thumb healed well!

I've been following this remodel and I love the change.. The enclosed water heater was perfect!! The wall covering worked out perfect as well! And omg did you say you found the sink on the side of the road?! Perfect match and I love the countertops! Girl you were working that stove reminds me when I was cleaning my daughter's stove but her had this one beat lol.. I betcha some farmhouse decor would look cute on top of the refrigerator and some laminate flooring in time! I love it all .. The shelving fits well in the space ..

The kitchen looks amazing! What a difference from the before, this kitchen looks more intentional vs “slapped together”. As for the s’mores canisters, perfect for a weekend getaway cabin, those canisters are the epitome of “relax and kick back”. The rest of the decor, ie goblets, is whimsical and just finishes the feel you have GI own the kitchen.

Karrie, get your husband to help you raise the legs on the stove to match the height of the countertop. The kitchen looks great. You did a fabulous job. Get yourself a wooden rollup shade for over the kitchen sink. Maybe the rest of the family would be willing to bring additional items they aren’t using to help supply the kitchen with necessities, kitchen towels, pot holders, glasses, pots and pans, etc. even though it’s a weekend getaway you never know what the weather might be. If you stay during cooler weather you might cook inside. Anyway, just some ideas. You did a fabulous job. Love the backsplash. Great!!!
