He reminds me of a guy I worked with a long time ago. Guy came and applied for the job several times without getting hired. Basically BEGGED for the job, until they finally gave in and gave him a chance. He was terrible. One of the slowest, easily distracted people we had. He'd just stand and stare off into space if you didn't tell him precisely what to do, while most people can see what needs to be done, after a few days of working there. One day they assign him the kitchen runner. It's just a position that we all fiilled at various times. Making sure everything is stocked, mini freezers, cooked product, and all supplies and then jump between stations that need a hand. At the end of the shift he asked when he was going to get a raise for his "New position". It wasn't a promotion, but just a position that any of the kitchen staff would be assigned to on a particular day. Nearly every day they had to have a talk with him that he seriously needed to improve his performance if he wanted to keep his job. At the same time he kept talking about how he should be promoted and get a raise. He's being told how bad he's doing and doesn't even deny it, but at the same time thinks he should be promoted.

@Josh Cuthbert Its his restaurant... Its not stealing if he pays them more than minimum wage, he has every right to collect the tips.... Now its definitely a scummy thing to do and I don't agree with it but its far from theft. I wonder how much he is paying them though chances are he's paying them just the minimum wage required in his state. Still they accept the job it is what it is.... They can leave and go work at a restaurant that pays them 2.13 an hour + tips. I honestly wish more restaurants would start paying their staff living wages (13-16 dollars an hour) and cut out tips entirely. Sure tip if the service is above and beyond and you feel like they deserve a tip but why should I have to pay the workers wages when that should be the restaurants job. Im already buying overpriced food from said restaurant that usually has mediocre service as it is.
