just gonna say, i would have paid a PREMIUM to keep Sarah. Extremely respectful delivery of a valid point. Her work was underpaid, her attitude towards her passion was priceless. Pat wasn’t “breaking his balls”, mass attitude is highly prefferential and WOW wouldn’t you know that ‘sarah’s making all the money’ because SHE IS AN EXCELLENT SERVER, pointed gordon directly to the dishes that needed attention, and advocated for herself AND the people she thought deserved to be heard. woof!!

Absolutely agree. From what I recall of that episode, that scene is actually ridiculous. You basically have two owners complaining that one employee does their job too well. In context, it's crazier because they are arguing that the busboy should be getting part of the tips. Like...why? And the argument that he was doing a good job is laughable considering Pat was the laziest of all the employees. Asking Pat has to be one of the dumber things done on the show. Of course he will say he isn't paid enough, since he is lazy and probably feels entitled to make just as much as Sarah without putting in the same work.

What’s even funny is that “Sarah is the one making the money…” like bitch, of course because she’s a SERVER 🤣 like they are expecting her to basically work for free at that point and if she’s doing an excellent job she deserves a good wage or the tips. It’s bad for the servers who “complain” about them but if you have a waitress that does the job of 3 waitresses, fire the other 2 and raise her wage because the less staff=to less money lost in wages/payroll tax=more profits. It’s like them encouraging laziness

What confuses me the most is that they admit in the first 5 minutes of the full episode that Pat’s lazy and they’ve fired him before and because he was stalking at the front door and wouldn’t leave they let him come back. They had a problem with Sarah because she didn’t kiss their ass and actually wanted to see the restaurant do better. I would’ve walked out too. If someone is getting sat first and last of the night that means that they are top server and stay throughout the whole shift and doesn’t ask to get cut. And how is the seating any of her fault to begin with, they should have a host that knows a proper rotation on a floor plan.

It’s actually very typical in restaurants for servers to share their tips with the busboys. Also, how does a busboy not help a server? They are the first and last process for a table… Don’t wanna seem like I agree with what happened in that scene though but she admitted to stealing the dudes tips

Every time I see the episode for La Galleria 33 I am just disgusted by the owners nit picking and blaming the waitress. They say she's a money grub and steals tables working only so she can make money. What is she supposed to be doing? Let herself and her children go into poverty? If your restaurant is so slow that it forces the waitress's and bus boy's to get competitive for tables; than it is not their fault. The amount of responsibility they don't take for themselves is indicative of why their restaurant closed.

Sara is “so greedy” doing all these things for tips when this girl makes 2.14 an hour. I worked at 2.14 an hour and after working 40 hours a week and after taxes, that 2.14 an hour paycheck would be about $10 every two weeks. Tips are ALL they work on. So of course when it comes to your tables you’re going to be greedy and want to get as many tables as possible BECAUSE THAT IS YOUR PAYCHECK. They want to make her out to be the bad guy and they want to act like “oh she makes the most money” when in reality she is just trying to stay afloat and survive with the job she has. And she is an amazing server.

I think providing healthy food and then telling that the food (some items from menu) is run out in a certain part of the service is better than serving contaminated food. You will have customers that will trust your service even if you provide food for short part of the day and have different options and the workers may have earlier log out helping them from burn outs due to these stresses.
