Wow. So basic and obvious. I wish I thought of this myself years ago. I'm going to do this even with the packaged teas as we have 40+ sorts of teas, packaged as well as the 'Celestial Seasoning' loose, in boxes. I'm off to clear out a cupboard full of tea boxes! Then I'm going to the thrift store to locate the perfect basket to keep them all in. They will be consolidated plus easier to find. Thanks for this excellent tip!

Darn! I use the unwrapped tea bags and had hoped to find a better way to store them, but you did it just the same way I already do it. I don't have an extra drawer so I keep them in a plastic shoe box up in a cupboard. The only difference for me is that I left the teabags inside the waxed inner bag to preserve freshness a little better and to help keep the aroma of each tea at a minimum while being stored. My favorite is maybe the Country Passion Peach from Celestial Seasoning. But I'm also a big fan of the Vitamin C Shine. I keep at least 6-8 flavors on hand all the times including a Sleepytime in two flavors for before bedtime if I'm wanting one.

Recipe... Two bags of peppermint, two of spearmint, one of mint medley, one of lemon tea, some fresh lemongrass, sweetener of choice, one key lime squeezed into teapot and leave the peels... Steep and drink... Delish!

I keep all my tea bags mixed up in one canvas bag. I like to reach in the bag and surprise myself rather than choosing one. If it's night time and I pull a caffeinated one I'll throw it back and look for a decaf.

I love the ideas. I do have a few thoughts. The tea bags without individual wrappers are actually sealed if you seal it. It should say somewhere on the box that the wax paper enclosure inside the box has a strip of wax all around the inside like where the “zipper” is in a zip lock bag. Just press it shut. The heat from your fingers will re-seal it. I think what I would do with that type of box is cut the top flaps off like you did with the other one, duct tape the outside to look nice, then just print a label of what variety it is and stick it on the side. Just keep the inside wax paper bag the way it is. Also uses less plastic that way.

I actually found a plastic tea box that has dividers that can hold the prepackaged teas. It is much better than just putting them all in one box and I can not tell what tea is what. I find if I put them all together and I can not see what tea is what I end up not using any.

We could definitely be friends. I picked up the same duct tape when it came out. I mod podged my boxes with wrapping paper. I put my celestial seasoning teas length wise in a Stash tea box after putting them in the plastic baggie. I'm super old school of using what you have.

The tea in the plastic bag is Okay but I would keep the bag that came with the box. They have a freshness purpose.

Hm... it is lovely, though not a great solution for those looking to organize many different kinds, as that doesn't look like very much in the video and is a tad bit simple if i'm honest. If i had a drawer to store them in, i also wouldn't be looking for a DIY storage hack. I guess i'm looking for something more crafty? This does seem like it'd work great for some however. My current idea involves maybe hot gluing some cardboard together to make a thing that has slots for each type? Like a shelf thing maybe? Because i have so many kinds but i want to keep them seperate, but also keeping easy access! I'm sure i could just probably buy something similar like that but i don't have the money, (hence DIY) plus none of them that i have found are made to hold as many as i have. I do know i'd like to keep it (whatever it is) on the counter where i can always get to it easily, as i drink a lot. That being said, i'm still unsure about the whole thing, so i'm going to keep looking for more DIY ideas. Ps, celestial seasonings teas are soooo gooood! Especially that honey vanilla chamomile!

You lost me with the tape. I have a latex allergy and the sticky adhesive is probably not meant to be near food. But I might consider using a fabric or something else that is food safe if I really need to decorate a box that no one will ever see, except me.

Why decorate the box at all. I’m not doing it for the simple reason that if I like that tea I can just pick it up and see the side of the box and buy it again. That way I’ll remember what it looked like. If it’s inside the drawer next to all the other boxes it’s not going to show anyhow.
