I just love how you're teaching your children to be self sufficient!!! A lot of times we may shy away as parents from letting our kids help us do things bc it's dangerous for them or they may break something but here you designed everything around them. Allowing them to be useful, and to feel included. My kids are always asking me if they can help me cook and do the dishes. You have definitely opened my eyes to make a space 'functional' for us!!! I don't own my place and don't have the funds to renovate however I can definitely make it more child friendly. I'm so excited!!! I look forward to creating even more memories with them!!! We’re building a house. My kitchen is big which a blessing - it is requiring me to know where what will go for sure. Your kitchen tour was just what I needed. For our water bottles we hang a shoe organizer on the door instead of the pantry.kids bottles towards the bottom so they can reach and at the top Adult travel mugs. It’s the best and super cheap😉 love you Jordan!!!

This was amazing! I can see how you reused some of the original elements from the original space and added details that improved the functionality. I love the idea of all drawers on the bottom. I hate cabinets on the lower section, so hard to organize and doesn’t make the most of the space. That's how I roll! So miss my old house but had to downsize due to illness but working my way back up to more space again, yayyy!! Omg that hair bin idea is seriously fabulous! True game changer and time saver there. I always did my daughters in our dining room because it was the room right outside the kitchen through the swinging doors and a few steps from the front door ( loved how the doors were in that house) I kept their bags, jackets, our shoes etc etc in there to drop when I came in and to grab up before heading back out.

Absolutely beautiful! I love the functionality and how you went for what YOU want, and how YOUR lifestyle is. It makes me sad to see negative comments ☹️ and I hope they don’t get to you. My sis has 4 kids 1-6years old, and I wish I could implant another dishwasher into her house!! Their fridge is basically 80% filled with milk😹 and I think she should get a commercial sized fridge, because I cannot imagine how it will be when they’re teens. What I appreciate most about your vids is your positivity. Don’t know you, but I am very happy for you that you built and now get to enjoy, and share this wonderful space!

oh my goodness fabulous kitchen! also yes warming drawers are a live saver! when we moved into our house the kitchen had recently been updated and had a warming drawer. they are amazing! definitely a keeper!

Love her kitchen ideas of having things close at hand for food prep and cooking. I was especially impressed with the deep, deep drawers that can hold an Instant Pot. Definitely am taking notes. I cook a lot and have Asian, (South East Asian),Western and Mexican spices to contend with so a well organized spice drawer really helps.

I am currently renting in a huge house... the kitchen has a hybrid of cabinets and drawers... they pull out and I have plenty of space to store big stuff like crockpot and big storage containers... I love how practical everything is..you put so much thought into every detail- it's not just pretty .I would be labelling all the drawers to remember where everything is - your kitchen is huge!

Wow! Very well done! I'm big fan of the dish brush too, but never liked it just laying in the sink. My solution was to store it at the front of the top rack of the dish washer. Easy access when needed, out of sight when not, and gets washed every time the dishwasher is run.

Hi Jordan, I've got a set of Cutco, too, that my husband sold in college! I (finally) sent them in to Cutco to get sharpened, and not only did they come back nice and sharp, but they replaced, for free, some of the knives and the scissors that they were unable to sharpen. I highly recommend sending them in for sharpening them sometime.

I have a set of Cutco from when my father sold it as a second job in the late 1960's. When my Mom went into assisted living I got her Cutco knives which are still sharp more than 50 years later. My brother took the blank (never sharpened) knife set that my father used for people to look at. My brother contacted Cutco, told them why he had blanks and asked if he could pay to have edges put on them. They did it for free.

"Foldable kids' stool"...as a 31-year-old adult, I use that same stool. My apartment inconveniently placed the majority of its upper cabinets 66.5 inches off the ground, likely to leave room for the serving hatch. I'm 5'3" (63 inches) and can only reach the outer layer of my bottom shelf. Only two of the upper cabinets are the right height, one being only 8 inches in width. There are very few things I can reach without that stool. I'm so looking forward to owning my own home so that I can actually get a kitchen that works for me!

@@mediumbelly we live in southern Calif. The cost of living here is out of control. We looked at Washington state (hubby's has family there) their getting as bad as california, actually the entire west coast is. I'm medical retired, hubby is 56, works for a large trucking company. So we wanted to be close to California where the kids and grandkids are. He has his transfer in and as soon as there is an opening, we are GONE.

Hi from the UK - I LOVE this kitchen but mostly I love how you've organised it and thought of everything! That's my kind of kitchen! We're about to refurbish our kitchen and dining room. We have a pots and pans drawer, lid drawer, and tupperware drawer. Big oversized ones and I LOVE THEM! Everyone who comes to our house gushes at how smart the person who designed our kitchen was. Im so jealous how many more drawers you have! The kids drawer is brilliant because its easy for them to get too not to mention they look messy in the cupboard with the dishes.
