I moved 23 times in the last 30 years and I changed 3 continents and I loved it, except the packing part of it. It makes you so much more flexible and changes your view of life. I think it is a more European mentality to be more sentimental about the place we live and the things we have. All my friends from Austria still live in the same place I said goodbye to them 16 years ago. Happy moving and all the best to you guys in your new home.

Im moving into a new house in the next few weeks, and I've been throwing everything out not realizing how much crap we have accumulated through the years! So many things that have sat in drawers for a good decade! poor max, I find my dogs always knows when we are leaving for long periods of time. Can't wait for you guys to be united again!

I know how it feels to leave your own country & home for a new place! I left Bangladesh & been living in New York for 2 years, & still it hurts whenever I think of my country.. (But you are lucky, you wont have to deal with a new language! ) I'll miss the kitchen! There are so many recipes I tried, which I learned from this kitchen! I remember when I moved overseas 9 years ago. Basically my mom helped me pack the night before. But then again I still lived with my parents and didn't have quite so much stuff. Since then I've lived in 7 apartments. Definitely agree on not buying crap as that just adds to the packing, but somehow I never learn my lesson. On another note, I just about cried when it came time to say goodbye to Max. So sad!
