Stainless steel bowl 4.5 qt no handle 6 wire whip, nylon coated flat beater, nylon coated dough hook and instruction manual with a speed control guide, good tips. The wire whip is for whipping cream and egg whites. The flat beater is generally what you use most - for cookie dough, cake batters, and pie crust. The dough hook is for bread and rolls. The coated dough hook and flat beater are dishwasher safe. The 6 wire whip is hand wash only.
The mixer is 275 watts and has 10 speeds. Unscrew the attachment knob, remove the plate and you can attach any Kitchenaid stand mixer attachment like a food grinder, pasta roller or slicer and shredder. Slide the lever and the head tilts, slide it back to lock the head before using the mixer. There is an adjustable screw here if your beater hits the bottom of the bowl or is too far away from the bowl.

My mom just bought my wife and I this model as a thank you gift for helping her move. We always wanted one but it's the sort of thing we didn't see using enough to bother spending the $400 cdn on. Turns out we have used it a ton. Frankly I think it could use a bit more power for heavy dough but it gets though anything if you slow down a bit. We quite like it.

Very helpful video, I ended up purchasing the Artisan 5qt model after watching this and many other videos. I'm thinking this may be my entry level machine and later on get the 7qt professional model. I've had a hand mixer that I purchased before my son was born, but never thought of doing cookie dough or bread with it, just boxed recipes. Time to level up my cooking game!

thank you for posting this video I have come close to buying this many times with the good reviews Ive seen but honestly I wasnt impressed with this machine. So thank you for reviewing that. I know you get alot of request to review things but sometime, could you reivew the new sunbeam Heritage 4-Qt. Stand Mixer, Red FPSBSM21MR-NP I know most people want planetary but Ive always liked the older style where its easier to add ingredients. They had an older version of this one that the bowl didnt turn and now they have this new one that claims the bowl will turn on its own, comes with a smaller bowl and also besides dough hooks, whisks and beaters. Thank you for your time to make all these amazing videos. I watch your reviews all the time.

I finally just got my KitchenAid 4.5 qt Deluxe Tilt Head Stand Mixer which is also in Silver with a handle on the bowl! The motor wattage on my new one is 300. Looking forward to seeing how it goes for me!

Good video. As far as the different versions, I think it depends on the retailer as to whether you got the 250 or 275 Watt versions of the Classic Plus. I think I lucked out as the version of the Classic Plus I got had not only the 275W motor but also a 5 qt polished bowl with a handle instead of the brushed bowl with no handle. I got mine at Hecht's Department Store which surely must have had some volume agreement with KitchenAid to get a little bit better options.

Anita I have been looking at the KitchenAid Classic Plus Stand Mixer for a long time along with the regular Classic Series, the Ultra Power and the Artisan Series. I’m torn because there are a lot of models of KitchenAid Mixers however the Classic Plus is about $189 I believe. If you decide to review another KitchenAid, could you review the Ultra Power PLUS model? Meanwhile, Thanks for reviewing this Classic Plus model.

Hi, I will look into the Ultra Power Plus to see if there is a difference between that and the Ultra Power which I’ve already reviewed. The Plus bowl has a handle which is the only difference I can see as of now.

@@bestkitchenreviews Maybe do a comparison between the regular Ultra Power and the Ultra Power Plus. I think they used to have a bowl with the handle on the regular Ultra Power Model during the 90's. So I don't know why KitchenAid is currently making the regular Ultra Power with a bowl without the handle.

Actually the KitchenAid Classic Series is 250 Watts. The KitchenAid Classic Plus is 275 Watts.

Hi, as I mentioned in the video, the Classic comes in 250 and 275 watts. It is very strange but both versions exist. I already reviewed the Classic 275 watts 😀

@@bestkitchenreviews When Hobart built KitchenAid mixers, There were two models. The K45SS (4.5 quart tilt head) and the K5SS (5 quart Bowl lift). Both models had 250 watt motors with and electronic speed control.On those models the electronic speed control would increase power to the motor to maintain mixing speed under heavy loads to a top wattage of 275 wats. When Hobart sold the KitchenAid division to Whirlpool, the electronic speed control was removed from the mixer and it just didn't have the ompf of the Hobart models. So Whirlpool introduced the K45SS as the "Classic" with out the electronic speed control, and the "Classic Plus" with 275 watts.
