All my LGS does now is draft on FNM or monday night commander. Then theres others stores i have no clue what they do. I and my other fellow drafters hope Innistrad Remastered is good cause alot of us might skip alot of 2025 sets.

90% of anyone who will play in a standard tournament will have their singles within a year. Foundations will be around many years longer. It's a starter product and nothing more.

Alright, it feels like the majority of Sorcery consumers still don't quite get it. As a store, you're going to lose money on this. The goal is (if you actually "love the game") to grow it from your own store, locally. This is why such a small number of stores will take in a new game and why none of them will outlast or grow to MTG numbers. It's a lot of work and if you don't have 'too much' product then you don't have enough for random people to adopt a new game. Sorcery in particular is hard because the games are so long and the board takes up so much space. It's more of a monthly wargaming event than it is a tcg weekly play. For players, they just want cheap boxes to play the game at will and the collecting will come later. Any game with collecting baked in from the start is doomed to fail because you're now delving into a totally different world of people who expect something from a tcg.

How does this podcast get better and worse? What's next for mtg: a lot more of the same... ...til meaningful fatigue catches up soon. The pump n dump cycle will continue with recent money upticks across all markets. Pray and hope to God that mtg holds on to the remaining Based Kids, once they move their money into real investments the woke mtg base money will stabilize back DOWN.
