@@TevyaSmolka she’s a tough character to adapt because even DC has admitted that they don’t how to depict her: either as a warrior, a peace keeper or as an ambassador. But James Gunn has said that he’s not against the idea of her getting show at some point. Supposedly, the live action paradise island max show is still something that’s going to happen

5:55 Gus actually isn't a new face, though his running joke is easy to miss! He was the "lead" henchman at Scarecrow's plant in Harley season 1, where he chats with Ivy about how he was just working as a henchman to buy art supplies for his class (later he texts the fake messages 'from Ivy' to Harley, and also is the one who lets in the pretzel-wrapped weiner truck). He then showed back up in season 2 in the episode where Harley escapes from Wayne tower with Joker, where he tries to rob the people in the tower.

I think the issue is that because it's a spin-off of a beloved show that is trying way too hard to find its identity as a result, it feels a bit disjointed

I personally really enjoyed this, afterall this is a kiteman show so the writing isn't gonna be next level but I think the show still has enjoyable moments. I really liked seeing Stephanie Brown that was a huge surprise, I really missed Kiteman in the later seasons of Harley Quinn so seeing him again is cool for me. I really liked the choice of Golden Gilder as his girlfriend and I really like her personality, she's really sweet and caring and Kiteman deserves like that after Ivy. Seeing Bane finally be part of the main cast is cool I loved Bane from Harley Quinn and Queen of Fables was also a cool character from Harley Quinn. Darkseid being involved and being comedic is fun too because we didn't get a lot of him in the Harley show. So all in all I enjoyed this quite a bit.

Not a fan of the numerous voice changes, like for Golden Glider and Lex Luthor and also Darkkseid, and with the tragic passing of Kendrick, they need to either get Gene back as LL or if this show gets a S2 not use him, and try a new big baddie, like maybe Amanda Waller, perhaps, but man I`m glad Kite Man got his own show and i really enjoy the new cast like Malice and the twins voiced by Chris from Sopranos! Also CHEETAH finally speaks, finally she was always silent in HQ but here she speaks! I wonder if Darkseid will be the real baddie?

I think the writers made a huge mistake with Kite Man way back in Season 1 of Harley where they actually admitted he was originally meant to be a one off character only appeared in the Bar Mitzvah episode and who knows how differently the show would have been if they sticked to their original route.

Kiteman's problem is he's always bumbling. He needs to have some competency that makes him useful or draw people to him. Saving the bar should be a story arc. Maybe the throwback 80's promotion goes over the top but people have fun. Maybe it becomes the place to have birthday/retirement parties and that makes money.

Based from your review, it feels like the show is either testing waters or revising character development for plot... or certain habits aren't easily change (or something). I wonder if this show keeps up, will they pull an expected plot twist or true villain/antagonist (probably a super hero) for the show.

You know what would've been a great angle is if this was in fact a different Lex REMEMBER Lex had the Anti-Life Equation at the end of Justice League: Unlimited he used it as bait to trap Darkseid in The Source Wall, so imagine if the Lex from Harley Quinn is STILL trapped by Steppenwolf and the JL:U Lex took his place but that other lex being such a DICK means people are happy this new Lex is in charge

TBH this is to me a better so far season then S4 of HQ, I just felt like thier characters resume to thier S1 personality's and even Joker who went from a good family man in S3 to a sudden turn back to villainy and even his family turned evil too like a switch, and her sleep killing and the whole 2 Harleys was too nuts even for the show! plus the cool new characters Terra, Tefe and Volcana was so misused and thrown away by Ivy after a few episodes when they couldve been cool but moved that for Birds Of Prey,(Terrible movie BTW) So i hope s5 rectifies that if not then i fear the show is going downhill from now on, also the butt jokes are stale as hell!

I mean say what you want about Harley Season 4 ( I called it uneven and suffering from growing pains by the end). But this 2 pack of Kite Man episodes only made me appreciate Season 4 of Harley all the more warts and all. I can still remember jokes from season 4 that made me laugh, Harley & Ivy still had fully realized character arcs and interesting internal dramatic strife. Yes certain beloved crew members from early seasons got put on ice but they introduced a bunch new ones full of promise who I'm sure we will see more of in Season 5. Also they formed The Gotham City Sirens by the end not the Birds Of Prey, totally different comic book team.
