I love the degree to which you explain things. That's really going to help me. A question: does passing the zenith mean a lower jump i.e it's going to put the brakes on?

Great advice! And not just the landing part, because I did it good. My problem was the taking off and now I will practice it good. Sometimes we learn more advanced parts, and the basics are not enough clear. Thanks for your advices!

This is true... The better we get the more we will learn the absolute basics ...

Super cool as always Ben! I'm waiting for another episode that will touch on another important component of that kite movement - sheeting in and out of your bar during the jump, especially comes to play in higher jumps.

Very nice video, you've just inspired me to try the double front roll! I'm just a bit unsure now when to initiate the forward pull. It looks like you start it at the end of your first rotation but you say the forward pull will also kill the rotation so now I'm confused how the second rotation actually happens. And another question about the lake spots: at this time of year, which gets better wind, lake Como or Silvaplana?

nice vid ! the thing i have botice is that you are not fully pulling the bar. and you manage to push and pull it a little bit during your air time. i think it is not a detail because with your bar at the middle of the pull you have room to adjust the tension of the kite in both way (increasr or decrease tension). can you comment about that point ? maybe a video ? thx for your work
@BenBeholzVlogs3 жыл бұрын
Hey, you watched the video verry carefully and this is definitely worth a video. To give you a quick and simple answer. It‘s about flying the kite all the time on it‘s pressure point... This helps the kite to perform better...

Hi Ben, awesome video as always. An off-topic question…. I need a new wetsuit, mine is 20yrs old, what brand/model do you use or recommend? Thinking of a full body 3/4mm for the Belgian coast weather..
@BenBeholzVlogs3 жыл бұрын
Thank you 😊🙌 I prefere the prolimit mercury. Also in 3/4 a really good wetsuite 😊🙌

Off topic: Was hast du für ne Rückfahrkamera? Ist das in combi mit dem 'Rückspiegel' oder?

Hey, das ist ein externes Gerät was einfach an den Rückspiegel geklickt wird. Das war aber von vornherein mit dabei... lg

Hi Ben, do you want to sheet your bar in or out at the end (the descent) of the jump? Every video is showing something different. What gives you the softest landing? Thanks in advance!
@BenBeholzVlogs2 жыл бұрын
Hey, this is hard to answer because it depends to the balance you have. The soft landing comes from the low kite… The kite never stops moving even not at 12. It goes up and straight down again…
@BenBeholzVlogs2 жыл бұрын
more speed = softer landing…
@chrestb88623 жыл бұрын
As you bring the kite up to 12, start edging slowly into the wind to increase line tension... Thanks Ben! IDK why no one has told me this before, that is such a great tip for someone who's starting to learn to jump and only doing small jumps atm. Fk I can't wait to get out and test how much this affects my jump height :)

Do you recomend to do a heliloop for landing this type of tricks? I have'nt founded a tutorial of your about it
@BenBeholzVlogs3 жыл бұрын
In this hights not really. If you go higher or if you really send the kite from one side to the other a heliloop makes sense. A heliloop is nothing you need to plan before - it‘s something you can decide in the air while jumping. If the kite would drop you - do a heliloop 😊🙌 ...or 2 😋

Man, rally nice video for people increasing ! but are you sure about your 9 oclock position, 9 oclock would be when the kite is in the water right (if we check a watch) i mean it's the horizon line ?
