Love the 11 meter mono. Turns like my 9 meter Rebel. Nice lofty jumps with a twin tip, not as high as a rebel but great hangtime. Drifts really well for foiling. I've never launched the kite from the water. It just won't fall out of the sky!

Would like to see you add the Ocean Rodeo Flite Aluula to the comparison. Even though it's a 3 strut it is probably lighter than all of these, and that is what you're comparing, the lightest flying kites. 🙂

The Aluula Flight wasn't available at the time of our Cape Hatteras tests. We did have a standard construction 3 strut Flight and were very impressed.

Great review! Would you say the Naish Boxer is a good fit for TT (138 or 145) riding in low wind conditions? 75kg rider, which kite would you recommend to be able to ride the lowest winds possible?

You should consider the Pivot, depending on your definition of "low wind" and your skill level. With these 1-strut (and 0-strut) kites you pretty much need to keep them dry or they're difficult to relaunch. A 3-strut kite should give you better low-end power and hang time if your reason for being on a TT is to jump. Someone commented on this below, but I'm also eager to see (rather, feel) the ALUULA, which could be a weight-saving game changer for 12m+ kites. (I currently fly a 11m Neo as my light-wind kite and am looking to change because it's slow and feels heavy and I don't like its bar pressure when the wind picks up; I fly smaller Neos in the waves and love them).

How is that boxer as a light wind kite for TT? You reviewed the kites only for foiling?

Single strut kites do work for twin-tip riding but are almost always out performed by three strut kites. If you are looking for something strictly for twin tip riding look at a larger three strut kite.

@@Kitesurfing Thanks for the fast reply. I have a big TT for light wind, and I can plane on it for as long as I can keep my kite up (12-14 knts). Currently, my biggest kite is a 12m pivot (3 strut) but I'm looking for something that will stay up when this one doesn't (10-15 knts or maybe even less). I am considering a 16m Boxer. You would discourage it for TT riding? (I am still fairly new to kitesurfing) Thanks! :)
