Awesome again Jeff! Relaunch on the Ozone Alpha v1is amazing! Coming from 5 struts you notice the narrower wind-range and flutter whilst parked on the beach but would highly recommend getting some. They are so light and playful even on TT. Lovely for one handed steering and surprisingly good to jump as you heat to 12 so fast!

Hi Jeff love the videos! am fairly new into the kitesurfing scene and as with all new sports I am trying my best to learn as much as i can about the terminology and equipment used. one thing i love about all these adventure sports is the technology, history and equipment development of each sport i.e how kayak now generally have standard entry size hole so that spraydecks can generally fit on various kayaks or how ski boot and ski binding designs have generally now become similar so that you can use any modern ski boot with most ski bindings. I appreciate there are some sport shifting design that come out every couple of years that rock the whole sport. At the moment I don't know enough about kiting and it's equipment to understand what is industy standard between kite set up design and bar technology. Are the kites that are being designed and produced now compatible with one another via some industry standard designs i.e (connection points, bridal length etc) or do they change just enough between each brand and new design that you could find yourself having to purchase a new bar and line with each new kite you buy if its a new generation or different brand. I know that in a previous video regarding using swaping bar out you mentioned it can be done with some adjustments but performance might alter which is great as it means there must be some aspect of standardisation. do you see a point at which kitesurfing equipment could mix and match different brands equipment and still perfom? or do you think its still developing and changing so much with each generation that it won't get to that point for some time? or is kitesurfing already at that point now where customer do have that flexibility?

I've been snowkiting with a 17m Aluula Flite. A buddy has a 17m Ghost - he cannot believe what my kite can do... I love you guys and have been a customer for years, I just wish you sold Ocean Rodeo kites!

Which of these single strut kites fly best in really light winds? (less stalling and more stablility at zenith/edge of window). Also, which would you prefer to be on for slightly powered twin tip riding? Thank you!

I can vouch for the ghost I have a 10 and 4......used to run a 9m sst and a 5m sst.....replaced with ghosts and loving them

You can pump up Naish higher right? Does that give a noticeable advantage given they all have less struts?

Hi Jeff, in your review of the Airush Ultra (btw, wondering why you Ultra isn't in this list, unless you stopped selling Airush stuff) :. You said everyone, including the heavier guys, used and loved the Ultra for all disciplines, even Twin-Tip riding. I am 196 lbs and only do basic freeriding (mowing the lawn). So I was planning to get a 12m Ultra as my go-to regular kite for Twin-Tip riding. Would you suggest that?

How come when foiling you need a small kite for lightwind and big kite for heavy wind, but for twin tips you need a big kite for lightwind and a small kite for heavy wind??

Hey Jeff, Thanks for doing so many helpful videos. I have been searching for reviews of the Duotone Mono and Neo/Neo SLS for foilkiting purposes mainly. I am currently using Ozone Alpha and Ocean Rodeo ROAM-Aluula kites . We foil in 9 to 30 kts. I like both but the OR 3-strut makes me prefer them a bit more, plus the rigidity of the airframe and overall light weight of the ROAMs. I am considering Duotone for foiling now, but I am worried I will be disappointed after using the Alphas and ROAMS . The main reason for possibly going toward Duotine is my ALpha is getting older and I am worried about the OR kites having ongoing issues with materials and construction, wondering how long they will last.. Any thoughts are appreciated, or if you know of some other honest revies or opinions. Thanks! (sorry I didn't know how else to send a message to you - hope you get it)

hi there great vid i was wondering if your biggest single strut kite is a six how big is the wing you are standing on im currently 80kg or like 160pound and my foil wing is an axis k series wingspan 23.5 inch with an actual area of 136 square inch and a projected area of 125 square inch sorry im a bit late i can see when you made this vid

Jeff you gotta try the Aluula kites. The 3 struts are lighter than the single struts and turns faster. It acts more like a foil kite that turns like a 3 strut kite 2 sizes smaller. Only got to try the Roam which doesn't jump very well. Hoping the Flight jumps better than the Roam. I don't know anything about that foiling stuff.

Seen one exploded LE bladder on the slingshot close to the bridle attachment. I think you need to be gentle with them.

I am just an intermediate rider and did not even know there is such a thing as single strut kite. 😎.. Will it be better to use the single strut kite for a beginner lesson if it stays in the air better than multi-strut kites?

You absolutely can. It is just that with the light weight of the kites, they have proven to be very good for foiling.
