This Naga was my first ever gaming mouse and I honestly love it, I use it for gaming and for work. I’m a graphic and 3D design student who uses this mouse with Photoshop, Illustrator, Blender, Houdini and Davinci resolve. The mouse works amazing and feels amazing for creative applications and removes the need for hot keys or moving around to click things all over the screen. Thought I’d share my quick thoughts for non-gamers out there :)

@@vanesam3058 @Mohanned @kilner79 Thought I'd chime in, I've had this mouse for about two years. It still works, and looks nearly new with daily heavy gaming use. The side grip on the 6 panel is -just- now getting worn where my thumb rests (maybe take a month or two). I almost exclusively use the 6 panel, never use the two panel, and use the mmo panel on the rare occasions I play mmos. I mostly play League (2~8+ games a day), and while the 12 buttons could absolutely be used for the game, I'm not a huge mmo buff, and find that many buttons uncomfortable which I've no doubt would be an excellent side panel regardless. As for the 6 panel besides the wear on the grip, none of the buttons have shown any issues ever. As a side note, the only issue I can even remember having with this mouse, was it used to have a cursor jump. This was fixed via firmware upgrades completely, however the fix wasn't well documented or explained. You -have- to upgrade the firmware on the USB dongle AND the mouse. You have to use the USB while plugged directly to the PC, not your charging adaptor if you were to have one, and the mouse itself must be updated over the included Razer cable. Since I got it figured out, the mouse has been my dream mouse, and if it ever broke, or failed, I'd buy the exact same mouse within the hour.

Just upgraded to this from the G600. I am soo happy they went back to concave buttons on the Naga. Feels good to finally go wireless on a MMO mouse. I just hope not to have double clicking issues like I always do with Razer mice, like the original Naga back in the day, which started double clicking in less than 2 years of use.
@dillason4 ай бұрын
the g600 is the only mouse i bought the doesn't need to be replaced. I have owned 3 simitars and 2 nagas all that get beat up and wear out in 2 years max the g600 is bullet proof. It doesn't feel as good as the simitar but i refuse to buy a new mouse every year because these company's design there mice to break every year or two
@SlipknotRevan4 ай бұрын
@@dillason the g600 felt great in the hand and the material was nice to the touch. However I think mine started double clicking or maybe the scroll started fucking up, which is why I went back to naga. Btw the scroll wheel on the naga pro broke after 1 year and 11 months. Luckily it was in warranty and they sent me a new one. What I'm saying is razer's quality is still sub par after all these years.
@dillason4 ай бұрын
@@SlipknotRevan dang yeah thats what i was wondering. I have yet to find a mmo mouse that doesn't break after 2 years of use other than the g600.. it sucks because i like the feel of other mouses such as simitar more however having to replace them every 2 years is annoying. If the simitar could just figure out how to fix there middle mouse wheel issue it would be king IMO thanks for the response though that answers my questions :)

I use mmo mice for productivity at work. I fell in love with the rat mmo7 mouse with its great design and good software. It had a thumb scroll wheel, ctrl+shift keys, a profile switch button on the top of the mouse and the d-pad thumb button is far easier to use than the having 12 separate side buttons. The one thing that sucked however was the build quality.... If they could bring back this mouse with better build quality that would kill it for me (multimode with wireless would be even more killer).
@BlindBison3 жыл бұрын
The 6 button side panel has a lot of missed potential for me. For starters I wish they would have textured the face of each button to be a bit more grippy rather than the flat smooth plastic they went with. My other complaint is the buttons are like thin lines, very small/a bit awkward to press due to their thin shape. I recognize the need to taper the buttons so there are vertical and horizontal gaps for the user to feel which button is which, but this could’ve been achieved with a smaller taper that left larger button in the end. As it is the pressable part of each button is just too darn tiny for me but they didn’t have to be. For me, I think I’d almost rather have 4 bigger buttons than 6 smaller ones, I just think that 6 button side panel though great in some ways needs another iteration/revision to get it right. I’d also second your comment about shifting the buttons forward a little bit - don’t get me wrong it’s easier for me to move my thumb back VS forward but I just found my big hand sits far forward on the mouse so it might help somewhat to shift them forward slightly.

I've had this mouse for a while its pretty legit. Have had tons of mice from MX510-(g400's, 2019MX518) Corsair mice including scimitar - SS mice - Mionix 7000 - and of course Deathadders and the original Naga (which i loved until it double clicked). So the triple side choices are really amazing options for this. I've been using the 2 button side for FPS since i got it and i love the thing you get all the naga original feel with 2 buttons and better gripping areas. The wireless feels like a corded 1000hz but free as it should be i cant find any faults where it felt like i clicked and nothing happened in proper order. Glides well with the nice Teflon feet. Charging is fast on the base or plugged in it can charge in like 1 or so hr's too 100% from low %. The best part for this is going to be switching between games and side plates because your aim is going to feel the same everything is going to feel the same just the side buttons changing i like it.

I followed the same path you did. I started with the first Naga in 2009 and when it died I bought the Trinity. I liked the first Naga more than the Trinity, it was much more durable and way smaller which is a plus for me since I have quite small hands. The Trinity died after only 2 years and by that time I had some bad experiences with different Razer products so I bought the Corsair Scimitar Elite RGB. I liked the way it looked but the paint came off the side buttons after a few weeks of use and last week it started double clicking. Luckily it was still under warranty and since they were not able to repair it I got my money back. Today I ordered the Naga Pro. I agree with you that the dock should have been included for this high price but it’s something that Razer’s been doing for the last years it seems. With my first Blackwidow keyboard I got a nice, soft leather look armrest, last year I bought the Blackwidow v3 and it came with a cheap, hard plastic armrest.

I have a Naga Epic Chroma and its a mess of a mouse. Its unreliable and buggy causing the cursor to jump all over my screen after about an hour of use. And now its dead(probably the battery). Even before it died i had reverted back to my far far superior Logitech MX Master(2015). And its till going strong. After some months (possibly) of using this mouse, has it become an unbearable mess like the Naga Epic Chroma(which there are a few of "Fix this problem with your naga" videos on youtube)? Has there been any glitch's, or things of concern? Did you buy this yourself or did you get send a golden sample form Razer? All those features are great, but only if they last. I'm using a 6 year old mouse that lasts for weeks (maybe even months) still on a single charge while my Naga is dead. If Logitech ever made anything similar(but only the 12 buttons) i would gladly pay the asking price (unless its like $200, then i'd wait for a good sale, my mamma didn't raise no fool!).

I love this mouse though no lie over the Scimtar as well. Never liked Corsair the feel they have its built for one type of hand i feel like. My opinion. your review was spot on though

Big Naga fan ever since it's first release, never used any other since then, shitty quality but once u go Naga you can't go back, that scroll side click is a godsend and synapse 3 customization is out of this world. Managed to snag the Naga Pro for 80 bucks on clearance in preparation for the Naga pro v2 release which is an incremental upgrade by the looks of it so far.

how to you set the mouse to never go to sleep mode?

I had a 1st gen Razer Naga, I loved it, but i hated the quality, only lasted 7months before starting having doubleclick issues. I'm willing to give it another try on this model that supose to have optical switches that dont have doubleclick

its weird that the circle existed to begin with when mobas like LOL and dota have a 6 button layout for items as on the new layout...

I recently bought a razer naga pro, the battery keeps me about 15h under 50% light, is that normal?
@qndresaha3 жыл бұрын
Only 15h? I have one and the battery life lasts me about 2 weeks and I use my pc every day I don’t think that’s normal

It looks like that you can not save the light profile on internal memory.. Synapse is awful and it must be running in the background if you dont wat the light to cycle..

Why can’t Corsair just do a wireless scimitar

I have a few of original Naga and some Molten special editions. I have tried other mice and I don't like. The shape of the Naga is the most comfortable design of any mouse I have ever used. I might have to give this a try or the Naga X. I tired out a newer one they made a few years ago, but didn't like it as much as the original / molten edition

I find the side buttons so damn sensitive, I wish I could have my naga molten back working again 😕

The 12 button layout needs improvement. They're way too slippery and really close together.

left click looks spongy. i will stick with my g9 still kicking 13 years on. I am pleased to see internal memory profiles and middle wheel left right buttons just like my g9

Has anyone who owns one had any problems with it not sitting flat on your desk / mouse mat? The Naga Pro I bought behaves like one of the PTFE feet is out of alignment: It has a slight wiggle movement towards the front left and you I hear & feel the corner tapping against the mouse mat when I'm using it.

I've had every single Naga since the very first release. It leaves a bad taste in the mouth considering the Naga epic came with the dock included. I understand things get more expensive over the years, but gouging customers for accessories like a charging dock reminds me of the most recent debacle of Apple not including a charging brick in the box. These stunts erode customer trust and considering this product isn't hard to replicate, Razer should be more careful how they extract cash from a loyal customer base. I'll buy the mouse and I'll reluctantly buy the dock, compared to the last release which I pretty much threw money at Razer for. Subsequent releases may be met with less and less goodwill however and we will see how far they go with this.

been vaping on a odin DNA250c for a couple years so i find it hysterically hilarious when people refers this mouse as heavy, considering the mod i use weights like 400g with batteries

I own the Trinity, but got a Pro today due to the sale and needing a good mmo mouse for my modded Skyrim setup lol.

to be honest I don't think you buy this mouse to use it with a wire, because you could use a regular Naga.

How bout a side plate with 9 buttons, now there's an idea!!! Then there wouldn't be a 4th rear row to get confused about! It would then truly cater to EVERY genre ;)

I'm still on the razer naga epic elite from 2009. Suddenly the lights stopped working when I swapped USB ports. It's probably a software thing but Razer doesn't really support it now :( Still a fine mouse but I was thinking or getting another because more often than not the buttons get in the way, there's few games I use them in now, until the next big mmo. I would looking at the 502 but the style doesn't look very comfortable, weird when Logitech had ergonomics down pat years ago but seems to not care on the flag ships. Then I saw this mouse, best of both worlds, I was always going to pull my Naga out for an MMO but now I can swap a panel, I love it, I think I'll buy one. Edit: micro USB c'mon!! what year is this again? Edit2: What ugly designed dock is not included? Edit3: Ok I'll still buy it and a dock!
@technicalotaku59708 ай бұрын
it's not a bad mouse but it super expensive. yes it comes with several panels but lets be honest, each of us will just pick 1 of the setups and use none of the others. its not worth it. the corsair one imo is better cause you can shift the buttons around which you can't with the naga

The 7th button on my Trinity is the only one thats different from the rest but its still really annoying haha

I always avoid a mouse with solid formed plastic over the main left and right click. Lost too many with that plastic breaking from excessive clicking. Can't risk it for this cost. The optical switches might last millions of more clicks, but does the plastic? Not usually.

@@vynlann9665 i.imgur.com/k3UwXuh.jpg This was the first Wireless Naga, back from 2010. I still have mine. Compared to the new Naga Pro, 2020, it doesn't have a rubber top, the right side is 'Panel 2' which cannot be changed, and both sides of the mouse have a rubber texture depending on your thumb side panel. The new version has the tri-click scroll wheel, and a new and improved laser three generations ahead as well as recessed buttons on the top, to stop accidental clicks.
