The Delorean I'll bet has been modified to 210HP with stage 2 kit, I own a Delorean and stock was gutless at 130HP alwas gear down on hills and top speed 88mph, after stage 2 upgrade no need to gear down and hit 120mph then front end starts to lift. Next mod the eibach suspension kit. The KITT car a 82 Trans- Am with a 305 v8 was rated 145HP or 165HP with crossfire-injection. Due to the way the Delorean pulled away, like I said she's runnung the 210HP.

tarl cabot I’m getting the feeling that the kid in KITT just dropped it in drive as opposed to shifting manually, like we do when drag racing automatics. Even though it is just a 305, I wouldn’t have guessed it would be beaten that badly by a V6 Volvo.

El Delorean gano porque tenía el condensador de flujo, exijo una nueva carrera donde K.I.T.T active el Turbo. Ptda que buena carrera de esos dos AUTOS INCREIBLES

There is a common issue with this particular delorean model, it was limited to 85, at 88 some sparks appears around the car, causing the car disappear leaving some skid marks.

Outside of the fantasy realm of their respected stories these cars exist in. How does that happen? Kitt is a Trans Am with a 5 litre V8, with 150bhp. The Delorean is a V6 with 132bhp. This should not have been this much of a gap and it should have been the other way around.

The kiit is much heavyer and a slowly Automatic gearbox. The delorean is much lighter and has a manual gearbox.

Meny old American so called muscle Cars cant even pull a dead fish from a plate 😝 a big v 8 is heavy and dont have much rpm. Automatic takes like 20-30 horsepowers away too. Even a Volkswagen Beetle would have won the race against kiit.😄👍

Simple math! 130 hp Delorean doesn't beat a 165hp Trans Am if both cars had stock Motors! Not to mention that a Delorean with the movie parts is a Brick Compared to the TA. Sandbagging indeed. In the fictional world of these two cars, K.I.T.T does 300 mph+ Time Machine is good for 90! Enough said.
