Thank you - yes! He even has little eyebrow muscles you can see up close. He is very expressive and getting spoiled, but he deserves it! He is lucky to be alive considering the conditions we found him in. Did you see the video of where we found him? I went back and filmed the room in the abandoned house where we saved him. It's a terrible place for any living creature.

I did see that video; it was pretty awful but at least he had some shelter from the rain. It's remarkable he was in such a relatively good condition when your family found him. It makes me wonder how he wound up there alone. Videos of old abandoned homes, especially small rural ones, make me sad. I think of the history the home had, the families that lived their lives there and called it home. It's kind of a personal issue with me because the small country church I was married in was demolished some years ago. The graveyard remains there and is maintained, and I'm thankful for that, because my first baby Justin died at the age of 5 months from a heart defect and is buried there. Then the old home we lived in with him for a short time was also eventually demolished. I haven't been back there in many years because it's 600 miles sway and I have no family there anymore, but my little boy is always alive in my heart.

I wanted to share a KZbin link with you; It's about another kitten named Archie, he's a sweet little black kitten who is the runt of the litter consisting of him and his two all white sisters: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bZS2d4Orbaika6M He is very cute but suffers the fate of all totally black kittens of just not being photogenic. The presence of a mixture of black and white kittens in the same litter used to confuse me - I thought it was just a quirk of genetics, which I guess it can be, but is more attributable to mama cat having multiple "suitors" while she is in heat. We had a beautiful longhair gray-calico cat once who we had postponed getting neutered just too late and she wound up pregnant. Still, I thought it wouldn't be hard to find homes for the future kitties if they looked anything like her. But out came 6 identical ginger kittens, who I think are only surpassed in being hard to find homes for by only black kittens. Somehow we found homes for 5 of them, wound up keeping one who turned out to be one of the least personable cats ever.

@@james51453 I watched the video of "runt Archie" - he/she is adorable too! We have 8 total rescue cats. One black Bombay cat who is very old, grumpy, yet cute/beautiful - one old white cat who is an animal spirit guide (helps other animals when they are sick and/or dying) - 2 orange wild almost ferrel cats - a grey calico type cat with a protruding belly and obsessively loves to be petted - a scrawny light orange youngster - a white Siamese mix with blue eyes who is one that I bonded with and she is very smart and somewhat trained - and now Archie the baby who we love very much too.

He is so cute! Funny thing is, I work with cats and whenever I let them out of the cage to clean it, I pet and play with the cats and kittens that they will sometimes jump on my back. I love it when they do that.

I'm not familiar with kitties as I haven't had one in a long time but is there down time that Archie doesn't play fight with you(your hands)? I'm only thinking of Archie being acclimated to us humans. You'll have a better chance at finding him another home(if you don't plan on keeping him) if he understand that all hands don't need to be played with. I know he has so much energy and I know you've been showing him playing...I'm only addressing what comes to my mind...not accusing you of anything.

Yes there is lots of down time, especially when he is in his room by himself. We are keeping him forever. All the other cats we have grew out of wanting to bite hands so much. I think it's mainly a kitten thing - when you watch other kittens in litters and with a cat mother, they play and bite each other alot. Sometimes he is very calm and doesn't have his claws out :).

@@evemae6819 Yes, he hasn't seen another cat since he was 2 weeks old. We are going to introduce him to his 2 older adopted sisters when we feel that he is big enough for them to not hurt them. They are about 1 to 2 years old, and will enjoy playing with him, but they could hurt him right now, since they are full grown and much larger than him. Thanks for watching 🤗.

Pro-tip: If you want still shots of something that is difficult to capture as far as the timing of it is concerned, like a super energetic kitten. Just take a video instead. Then, stop the video and go frame by frame until you get to the image that you like the best and screenshot it if you are using a cell phone. Or if it is a video camera, do it on your computer after you download it. I figured out that trick when I was trying to get pictures of lightning. It is damn near impossible to take a picture of lightning because it happens so quickly. Not just the delay of your reaction time, but the delay of the camera or cell phone camera actually capturing the image is usually too long and the lightning has disappeared by the time the picture is taken. I can think of only one time that I actually was able to take a legit picture of lightning. I am pretty sure it was mostly luck if not completely luck! Since then, whenever I get an opportunity to witness and awesome lightning storm, I just take a short video of the lightning flashing and then I go frame by frame through the video saving the image whenever I get to one that I like. Works like a charm! I hope that little bit of advice helps you in the future and you remember it whenever you want to get a still shot of something that is fidgety or very short-lived regarding the amount of time available to take the picture.

I agree that this one could benefit from some music, but I've read many comments on videos where the people don't want music - they just want silence, or to be able to hear the kitten/cat. Since Archie doesn't make much noise in this video, music might have enhanced it. Thanks for the comment.
