I used to believe this until I started watching his other content. His music is mid; Ted the movies she series are god awful; he's the weakest link in a 1000 ways to die in the West; and so on and so forth till his Magnus opus The Orville which is centrist mush but pretty great actually. He's just not that great and his lack of involvement isn't what ruined this show. But he is very talented, he'd be great to have a talent manager and bring in better talent in some aspect instead of doing this "white Tyler Perry" shtick of his.

A male getting pregnant? Fairly Odd Parents tried that and it effectively marked the end of the show's golden era. A baby getting pregnant? Ewww. A baby getting impregnated by an anthro-dog (even if it's not the old-fashioned way). Ewww times infinity. Yeah, this is one of the cases where this was legitimately just a bad idea, even for an adult cartoon. There was no reason for this plot to exist. Yes, they tried to comment on couples trying to salvage their failing marriage by having a baby, but this episode forgets that Brian and Stewie often ACT like an old married couple, like many other male and male comedy duos, but they are not an ACTUAL couple. You could have easily done the same basic plotline with, let's say, Stewie adopting a litter of abandoned (non-anthropomorphic) puppies and acting like they are his and Brian's babies, not literally but as a means to get him and Brian to spend more time together. You could still do most of the same jokes and plot beats, such as Brian and Stewie acting like a dysfunctional married couple and the puppies getting killed via neglect but minus the elements that literally nobody wants to see. But no, this is just a prime example of Family Guy being a shock jock, doing something scandalous, icky and super controversial just for the sake of attention.

6:08 While the devil is in the details and I wouldn't exactly trust Family Guy to pull it off gracefully, I think the subplot in "Herpe the Love Sore" would have been a lot more interesting if it instead started where it ended, with the asshole soldiers using their status as soldiers to get away with bad behavior and Peter and friends getting shamed for daring to stand up to their bullying. I'm sure some interesting and topical satire could be made of that.

That gross episode that Stewie impregnated himself (I don't know what was being smoked, but a lot of people took a hit of it between the writers room and it getting cleared for broadcast). I get that Family Guy often relies on gross out humour for laughs - but there are certain lines that shouldn't be crossed - even by South Park. Seahorse Shell Party - simply because it took a powerful moment of an abuse victim standing up for herself, and then had the perpetrators cry and gaslight her back into being their punching bag (or "lightning rod") for the sake of returning everything status quo. Yes, a lot of comedies rely on the status quo - but sometimes you have to let things go or move on. The crap on Meg had got old even before Seahorse Shell Party rolled around. Although, perhaps, the 'crap on Meg' trope hits differently when you've been the awkward teenager who just wants to fit in but fails to meet an arbitrary standard nobody seems able to explain.

“Life of Brian” did way more long-term damage to the show. FG lost millions ( *The Rock:* ...AND MILLIONS...) of viewers they will never get back, plus Seth didn’t have the balls to keep Brian dead because what even is continuity? And yes, they had planned to bring Brian back all along, they didn’t capitulate to the fans. Also, that was the episode where they showed that the writing had really gone to shit. Haven’t watched any new episodes since that one, not even the one where Brian returns and AFAIK, learns nothing and continues to be a pretentious, womanizing d-bag, and I can’t imagine being on Wednesday nights instead of Sundays for the first time in show history is doing it any favors. Who was this episode made for? Like most Family Guy fans didn't ship Brian and Stewie, and the sick freaks who did knew it probably wouldn't happen. I remember the moment where Stewie said that he viewed Brian as his father more than Peter. Also who wanted the idea of actual human-dog hybrid babies, deconstructed?

Okay, I may just be screwed up in the head-I won't deny that's a distinct possibility-but I actually love this episode, because it's so wrong, deranged, and disturbed, it just makes me laugh uncomfortably. It's a guilty pleasure episode for me because of how many times it plays jump rope with Da Line™.

Honestly i do have my least favorite episodes i hate of family guy in modern seasons.. but seahorse seashell party was definitely my least favorite episode ever since meg stood up for herself towards her own family but apology at the end. but the closer was also my least favorite. Stewie got pregnant was too. But because of Stewie was also so weird and out of character, since he won't accept the fact that brian doesn't want him around, when he's busy

For me nothing is worse than Herpes Loves The Sore, I cannot watch it, I can rewatch almost any espied regards of how boring it may be but I cannot watch the Herpes episode.

The problem with shows like The Simpsons and Family Guy is that most times they never follow through with big developments because every single episode is a stand alone. The great thing about South Park even now after losing their way is that every episode has always been connected. Even if you don't think so watch the entire series again. There are very obvious call backs to previous episodes. Even the episode called Cancelled is one long redo of the pilot before every episode started just coming out and saying that they're connected.
