Prayers and condolences to Fiona and the Fiala Ohana and friends. Yes HFD and all firefighters in Hawaii share this unique bond of brother and sisterhood. They go above and beyond the call of duty. I know someone whose dad is a longtime firefighter and his grandfather too retired as a career one. So I know of the dedication and the love and compassion they have for their job and saving people.

It is always a great loss when a Firefighter gives his all to the people. They are true hero's. They run into danger. They do it to save lives. They have all my appreciation and respect. Can't say the same for the cops, who are the exact, complete, opposite.
