@@EnglishKiwi you're forgiven. I have an idea in return, a what-if if you will. When the UK army start swapping from L1A1 to L85A1, they find a need for an individual or 2 in a section to have a sniper rifle, as the combat distances on the East European plain stretch out further than 300m occasionally. The L42A1 is overkill, and too slow for the job. So the get the chaps at Enfield to chuck something together from the L1A1, but lighter. I had this idea while trying to find info on the King Arms L1A1, and the Tactical Carbine with folding stock popped up. Not the one with Picatinny, that's too new. Get the Weaver rail top for it, and chuck on either a SUSAT or No.32 scope. At your service 😉

Oooh an interesting concept! But why is the l42 overkill? It fires the same round as an l1 and has a much better MOA that an L1 due to its floating barrel and locking mechanism.

That's a unique bit of kit, would certainly turn a few heads. Also good call on the hybrid mosfet. Picked one up recently and they seem ace.

This must be a really old CA G3, because now stock, it shoots well over 70m like a lazer, and the mags feeds excelently. But it looks golden tho, I want that kind of stock on my g3 aswell, as mine got the full fastened one.

Originally I printed a plate that sat under the selector with a nub on it, however at site this weekend someone had some spare 2mm BBs so I've installed one of thpse instead :)

Good question, I'd say at least a couple of hundred but up to q thousand or so

400fps DMR limit? that's definitely more prohibitive than beneficial with the 30m MED!

Yeah it is, but to be fair if you can lock your dmr to 2 second time out you can run it as a sniper

It’s like that on a lot of fields in Scotland, as much as I hate it DMRs would dominate a lot of sites if they weren’t handicapped like this. But maybe a 15m min range would be better. My local sites ranges for snipers and DMRs are the same despite a joules difference in power :,)

13:55 The supressor can't sit on the gasblock b.c. the G3 has none :D It's a roller-delayed blowback system and that's why it has no gastube or gasblock.
