It would of been nice to put the correct mk 1 sight on it, not the no5 Enfield one (no4 was a 1300 yard range, not the 800 yard) with the proper year markings for it. A 1948 rebuild (FTR) would have fitted either a mk 3 or 4 stamped sight.

I just got their No4 and fortunately haven't had this issue, but instead I constantly have 5-6 rounds spew into the ramp if I load any more than 15 rounds into the mag.

recently got my SMLE for my reenactment kit of 7th bat. KOSB My SMLE ( october 2024) does not seem to have that red finish, the stock is in a much darker brown. So I'm pleased to say that the wood furniture is to my liking. Maybe S&T listened to your remarks?;-)

I remember being in the RAF and we were given conversion training from the L1A1 to the L85A1 and our rock ape trainer told us that the Army lesson plan for how to install the sling onto the rifle and to transition the rifle to firing position using the sling was a complete day of lessons. He exact words were "Im not wasting an entire f**king day teaching you lot how to put a sling on a rifle. You lot will have this sorted in 10 minutes"

Big reason they switched the orientation to the bottom for the susat was when you are just resting the gun, the crosshair from the top will block the view since you're gonna be a little lazy tbh

I put a 130 spring in mine and I am getting 200 fps, sometimes drops to 150fps with .30. Not sure what is wrong. Everything is assembled correctly.

Your first point is not correct while you will be able to ID something using SUIT the sight was designed and used (yes I did carry it in NI) to improve the probability of hitting the bad guy.

@@imhere8474 there's no reason this couldn't work on a gbbr. I'm just worried it'll get shaken to pieces. I guess the only way to know is to test it!

If I have the version with the mechanical contacts and I have the semi auto problem.What are my options as I dont have the ETU.

@@war113 best options are, a high torque motor, inline MOSFET (like a perun AB++) and a decent 11.1V lipo.
