@@Crisp1Chip sure. First u go to that little plus sign in the corner. Select Audio. Then there are two options. Soundtracks or my music I usually use soundtracks. Hope this helped.

Uhh The Gamebar screen recorder makes big files, a 17 second clip is like 20 Megabytes. I suggest using ShareX you can download it from the windows store. It doesnt record sound and you have to connect it to a dropbox or google drive but the files are small and they aren't even stored on your computer.

Hey! I have a little screen recorder/editor/webcam thing I'd reccommend you all should try. Smartpixel. it's easy to understand, including a recorder(you can directly take recorded material to editor), an editor(you can add music here, it's all pretty easy) and a webcam8haven't personally tested this yet) it's pretty easy to use, and is completely free. no watermarks and stuff like that

I do speedpaints and I can chip in some knowledge for Mac/Apple users!! Software: take a look around the app store. seriously, you'd be surprised at what you can find. Also, GIMP is mac compatible! Recording: QuickTime Player has a built-in screencapturing system, although on some versions of OS X, it doesn't quite work right (I'm running El Capitain and it constantly crashes). OBS is a great way to record, just make sure you're saving files as .mp4 instead of .flv Editing: iMovie!!! it comes with your mac and is not hard to get the hang of at all. It's very easy to chop up clips and speed things up, and the newest update (as of writing this) helps keep everything a little better organized IMO.

+Bridget Coleman Nice art :) A few tips for your channel, you can customize the layout by clicking on the cog button right next to the subscribe button on your channel. Also to make you videos more "clickable" you could upload a custom thumbnail that doesn't show the drawing application (although this is personal preference). You can do this as you upload the video or after is has already been uploaded.

Thanks for the information! The video wasn't sloppy per se in my opinion. It was actually pretty refreshing. I already make speedpaints with Hypercam 2, Krita and Windows Live Movie Maker, but this has expanded my knowledge of alternatives to the process I use.

Speedpainter and tut maker here!!! The BEST place to get music is right here on youtube. they have thousand of loop, free music in the archive. Same place you manage your views, adsense and videos Some you dont even have to remember to credit which is good for a scatter brain like me. But another feature I use is the auto description. I just put the music I always use in there and save it and its always posted so ill never forget to credit........still do though

Hey, thanks for making this! I've been wanting to make speedpaints for a while but I never knew there were free recording programs out there ^_^ I have a pc with windows, but it's really shitty and "doesn't meet the requirements to record", so I'm gonna have to use the free ones. procreate is an app and it automatically records and speeds up your drawing process!! I got it for like $2 on my iPad but I did hear it went up to like $10? it's a really good program though

When you speed it up, for example a three hour video, does you Movie maker shortens it to one hour? If it does, do you save the video to shorten it again just for making it last how you want?

I mean, my video lasted three hours, i had to speed it up to x64 and it came out an hour, i saved it as a 'already-done' video, and shortened again to make it at least less than 15 minutes. Yet i saw that you had videos who took three hours to reccord and they last around five or three minutes. How do you do it to speed it up and not get dizzy while watching it?

+ana victoria sanchez garcia (VtoraGhost) Try cutting out a few more clips, nothing that will dramatically alter your drawing process, but just enough to shorten your video down. I personally tend to cut out mistakes, not because I'm trying to make it look like I was able to do everything in one try, but because the amount of times I need to redraw my mistakes was too long and would have made my video a lot longer. Hope this helps!

MovieMaker only allows you to speed up to 64x, and no faster. So an 11 hour drawing session will still be super long.

This is totally late, but i just want to add for future people reading this comment- I've found the youtube-mp3 site never works for me because of "maintence", and onlinevideoconverter, which ive used in the past gives me viruses. A lot of royalty free music has download links in the description, especially NoCopyrightSounds, who I always use.

This may have been found easily by others, but all my experience with Windows 10 has solely been on a tablet with no keyboard and since I just use it for drawing and watching videos I've never played around with keyboard shortcuts with what Windows 10 could do. I've had this thing for 2 years and my spouse had Windows 10 longer and neither of never knew of this. The shortcut of Win+G blew my mind when I saw the video and looked everywhere to find a keyboard to use and try it out pronto. Thank you much for these helpful stuffs.

On ibis paint, it always records your drawing process, so you won't need a mobile recording device. It's pretty cool!
