Ezra Miller has since this interview been accused of several assaults, kidnapping and grooming a minor, harassment and burglaries. There was a viral video where Ezra was choking and throwing a woman to the ground at a bar in Reykjavik. He is not just an a-hole though. He is also mentally ill. So while that doesnt excuse his behaviour, atleast to some degree it can explain some of it. If you look at his early interviews he seems sound, but obviously peoples mental health isnt standing still….and it seems something happened to him, probably fame…which can swing someones base narcissistic level into the pathological end of the bell curve….

Imagine being a co-star in one of Ezra Millers movies. You could see Claudia Kim was cringing internally whilst doing her best to tolerate Ezra being a self-important, drug-addled brat with zero manners. Having to deal with that day after day working together would really take a toll.

I meet Ezra Miller while working personal security in Atlanta. Most actors and crew ignore us, which is what I prefer. But one day I saw him make a straight Bee line toward me and started talking to me. Asking who I was. Then he wanted to know about our training and education. I’ve heard some stories about him. So I was already predisposed to not liking him. but I found him to be very personable and a genuine person. But I think that was right at the point where he was becoming unbalanced. Hollywood messes some people up.

To me honestly it doesn’t seem like he’s trying to be intentionally rude. He just seems awkward and maybe weird lol. Also since there was such a drastic change from the first interview, I think that maybe you’ve gone through something who knows with it being Hollywood he probably experienced some weird stuff and got into drugs. I definitely don’t think it was as bad as Blake interviewed personally… just my POV. But I definitely think he needs some serious help and we need to find out if he experienced some bad stuff in Hollywood.

Honestly, this interview didn’t seem that bad. I thought it would be a lot worse because he’s got a terrible reputation. I think celebrity interviewers just aren’t used to talking to weirdos. It seems like he’s either in a manic phase or he’s done a lot of psychedelics recently. Cocaine may be a factor, but not necessarily. I’ve had a ton of conversations with people like this. Probably had a period of psychedelics lately, as you said. I am happy to see someone comment this. I think you need to be a certain type of person to enjoy his “darker” bigger than life energy Ezra has. Personally, I think I would have enjoyed a conversation like this because I get where the person is coming from and that they are just more chaotic and like to ponder deep life situations more than what people are used to. Ezra lacks situational awareness here but I don’t think he is seeking to make the situation uncomfortable. Not to say I could marry this guy, but I could certainly hang out with him and see it as a fun time.

He was struggling with mental health issues. The truth is, he shouldn’t have been there. Somewhere in his career trajectory someone should have noticed “Hey, this guy is not well” and tried to get him help but instead they tried to milk every last dollar out of him until it was obvious he was troubled mentally. Then they just left him on his own. I think besides the fact that he’s uncomfortable to be around it should also be noted that he’s clearly struggling.

Every time I see Ezra Miller I think of Tilda Swinton and how she embraced him as an upcoming actor. I wonder if she’s distanced herself from him now and is horrified. To have a legend like Tilda Swinton have your back and in response behave rude and disrespectful to everyone must have shocked her. She’s a respected woman of Royal descent and would never support this nonsense. Thank you Kjersti for sharing this uncomfortable interview. It's not a terrible interview. Neither is it the worst interview, simply because it did not go the way you imagined it 'should'. He is revealing a lot about himself and displaying his character. This is a FANTASTIC interview!!! Look at what you captured and are sharing about him! When people behave in ways you don't imagine... go with it. Dig in... get more out of them... ride the crazy train with them! What else can you pull out of them when they're being mean, ironic, facetious... Let them fall flat on their face. Clearly, many of these individuals are dealing with issues that have - nothing - to do with you. Don't take it personally... Display it all... Get prepped though: Train on acquiring psychological tools to deal with and interact with bullies in your interviews. This could make for a fascinating show, especially when you have tools to help you deal with 'crazy,' so you don't feel so out of step! It would also be fascinating if you interviewed a psychologist who could help dismantle and explain the peculiar behavior we're watching... they could even discuss what you could have done... if anything... during the interview to combat situations like this.

Probably a combination of a hyped state of mind and drugs. It's really no different to Bowie or Iggy or James Brown (or yes Robin Williams in almost anything for years) in the 70's. He's travelling in his own world and operating a kind of stream of consciousness thing, the ideas flit in and out and in and out and he's probably forgotten what he said a minute earlier. He's a bit manic and weird, but by no means is this a freaky interview. Seriously some folks need to go and check out some messed up interviews, there's way worse. I think people's perceptions of him personally are coloured by his naughty behaviour. Is he making things difficult? Sure. Is he making others feel a bit uncomfortable? Yeah cos they don't really know how he's going to respond next. He's not playing the Hollywood Interview Game properly and it jars with the other two who are. Check out Bowie's interview with Dick Cavett in 76. He's charming and effete and adorable, until you ask him the wrong question and he gets really sharp. The intellect is all still in there, but it goes off in weird tangents cos he hasn't slept for days on end and is on a diet of cocaine and peppers and milk. People in this state of mind will be paranoid and often go off on weird tangents that others find hard to follow. Makes perfect sense to them, but everyone else is mystified.

@@SunnyLovetts i wouldn't say he was weird more like obnoxious and annoying. i agree that there are weird people who are interesting but he is definitely not one of them

I don't think they are defending him, merely trying to understand him because something definitely seems off.

Oh, man. Joan Rivers....imagine if she were still around doing interviews and encountered Ezra acting like this?? I would PAY to watch his abhorrent personality crumble under her takedown. I detest rude people.

He is a really weird case because I think he had a total shift in personality due to mental health and drugs. He really seemed like he is having a break from reality and most likely high on something here. He shouldn't have been there that day, either the publicist or himself should have removed him. Its wild because I saw him during the first fantastic beasts at a comic con where he seemed to really enjoy meeting fans and he was acting respectful like in the first interview you showed. Any case, he is being rude and off-hand to you, yes. Its not like Blake though cause he is off his rocker.
