I'm so sorry you're going through the whole nursing thing. I had a nipple injury when our oldest was a month old (it felt like I was being electrocuted every time she nursed) and the way I made it through was by using a nipple shield. I know some people really don't like them and say they reduce supply, but I didn't find that to be true at all and it was a lifesaver for me. I used it for a month while my nipple healed and it made it possible for me to nurse with way less pain (at first it still hurt a bit and then not at all) and then I gradually used it less and less. Totally sharing this because you asked what people had done, in case you want to try it... but honestly, if I were in the same position with our later kids I think there's a huge chance I would use formula, rather than feeling like I was killing myself trying to nurse. Good luck, I hope you get some ideas in the comment section that help, whatever you end up doing!

Keren - I hope you somehow see this amidst the 1.3k other comments.. HIRE A LACTATION CONSULTANT! Chances are very good that something is up with Sutton's latch, and fixing it will be easy! Nipple sheilds are only for use when a qualified LC is showing you how to use it properly! I wish you all the best.. breastfeeding is super frigging hard. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Erin Liber nipple shields can be used by anyone. Doesn’t necessarily have to be told by a location consultant to use them. My aunt used them without being told to because her child didn’t latch properly. 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️

Keren...First I have to ask; did you have Nonnie and Bianca take a peek? Another Mama and a RN is a good little home check!! Otherwise, your pediatrician, your OB/GYN, your Primary Care, or you can come see me in the ED or Urgent Care!! Wherever you are most comfortable and they can see you ASAP, otherwise go to the Emergency Department or Urgent Care! Since I can't be certain without seeing you, I have to just tell you that it can actually be a big deal---so don't try and be the tough Mama that I know you are. This could be minor, or it could be something bigger that snowballs and causes problems with your milk supply and Sutton's ability to latch. So-GO TO THE DOCTOR!! ♥️

Keren I recommend nipple shields or feeding on one side while wearing a silicone hand pump on the hurting side. They are handy, easy to clean, travel friendly and very inexpensive. This way when Sutton feeds on one boob you can save the milk from the other to top him off in a bottle. This helps avoid mastitis and keep your supply up without the pain that comes with an electric breast pump. I used the haakaa pump and loved it. Oh and air out your girls as much as possible. Nipple cream is great for cracked nips but fresh air and Breast milk heals them best. Best of luck!

I’ve been nursing twins for the last 5 months and my lactation consultant told me to use coconut oil on my nipples after every feed and it stopped the pain along with helping prevent thrush and preventing cracked and bleeding nipples. Coconut oil also helps with diaper rash as well. Best of luck and fast healing!

Ok so this is completely off the topic of this video but I just finished watching Jesse Welles video of him and jeana (bfvsgf) reacting to videos of them when they were together and I just wanted to say, those two were the people who basically made vlogging.. they were dedicated to their fans and they were the perfect couple but the stress of vlogging every day got to them and it became toxic to their relationship. I just want you two to know that us fans love you and your family so much and we only want the best for you, physically and mentally. If you guys ever need to take time to yourself or you just want to live in the moment without a camera then do it!! Don’t worry about us, at the end of the day what’s most important to you? Your fans or your relationship/family/your mental & physical health? Obviously the answer is your life, your REAL life. I love your all’s family so much but what makes me love you guys is the love you have for each other and your kids, I don’t want anything to ruin that. Take time to yourselves & live in the moment. I love you guys 💙

If it hurts to pump, use a hakaa or manual silicone suction pump. Best accessory to have as a nursing mom! You attach it by squeeze the bulb and it uses the suction to pull out the milk, it doesn't hurt at all. And you can use it while you nurse Sutton and catch the letdown from the opposite breast.

That happened to me when I was breastfeeding as well. It’s awful I know! Best thing to do is actually rub your milk on it and let the air at it (which I know will be hard on the vlog but I promise it will work) and I know it’s hard but it’s actually easier in the long run if you keep feeding on both. You could try coconut oil on before he latched or even a nipple shield

A shield will definitely help the pain - I had to do that with my 2nd for the first month - just to keep him nursing on both sides. I also pumped on the cracked side while SIMULTANEOUSLY nursing on the “good” side so that my supply would stay on the cracked side. It seems like a lot of work but after a few times it becomes such a routine. Keep it up Mama - you’re doing great. Do whatever feels right for your body and your baby!! No shame in any decisions you make regarding YOUR body and YOUR baby. 💙

Just a tip. You can also hand express your left side to prevent supply from dropping and still get all the milk out. Idk if you want to introduce bottle yet but you can syrringe feed and use a small cup to feed too. It prevents nipple confusion and your still have to give him breastmilk without the worry of spills
