99.9% of the new roads didn't suffer any major damage. Well done 🇯🇲 local contractors!! Your work pass a major durability test.🎉🎉

Beryl definitely caused some unfortunate damage, and my Heart goes out to those who experienced loss/damage, however it's also a blessing in disguise, showing up the shoddy job being done on this road network.

Any wall built at the Rosell vicinity must be of substantial size and strength. The base of the wall MUST go deep below the seabed. Several meters deep. Also, wave breaks must be added to reduce the surge impact against the wall. You must design and construct for a worst-case scenario which is not a common practice in Jamaica.

They didn't reinforce the break wall with steel,they are going to afto break down all of the wall and rebuild with concrete,and drive the steel deep.

Sometimes I wonder if these contractors have sense when doing these types of work

People of Jamaica don't delay in submitting your claims to the Government since the country has been declared a disaster zone. Wen you guys leave all those mones on the table the Government pockets it . #Due Diligence

I sit listen to uno comments about shabby work and educate uno self on construction bcuz from where i stand you see water is deadly and there is nothing you can put in place to stop water especially those 60 80 foot power surge plus your country is trying we don’t have money galore to attempt some of the things you talking especially when so many other entities need critical resources
@elizclark49125 күн бұрын
They're using cheap materials to construct the roads and walls and that's why are not holding during disasters. Chinese getting all the work🤔. Should have an interpreter out there. You can google Chinese-to-English interpreter. Christopher Columbus discovered Jamaica but the Chinese building it. One day will be more Chinese in Jamaica. He probably telling you to leave🤔. Get the interpreter app on your phone, let them speak into it and it will tell what they're saying. Stay safe!!

Fa real here in Canada 🇨🇦 some Chinese came to do the basement and we use that interpreter app to talk to them
