You're welcome. Not only did I save myself having to run up and down the stairs multiple times, I found that the GFI switch in my kitchen that my refrigerator is plugged into is also on the same circuit as my wife's upstairs bathroom outlet and the furnace in the basement.

Is that tester also made to kick circuit breakers in the breaker box?

My circuit breakers are really messed up. There are outlets in different rooms that are on the same circuit breaker. Is there an easy way to rationalize all that?

Ha! I wish I could say yes, but each electrician does things differently.

@@asintonic Unfortunately it varies house to house based on circuit installation and room/floor configurations. It’s entirely possible to have outlets in adjacent rooms on the same circuit while two outlets in the same room are on a totally different circuits. Additionally, if a room or outlet is added later, they will run the new feed off of the closest circuit available. So many variables come into play which is why a tool like this is so helpful.
