What if it's missing all the wood?
@ReluctantDIYers
@ReluctantDIYers 2 күн бұрын
This is a really good question. If all of the wood is missing, you can cut a replacement piece that is the size of the open area and the glue/screw that into the door jamb. Then you can mount as needed and cut out a new hole (if required) for the latch. I hope this helps! 👍🏼

Q..I need a 4x4 post for a water hose reel I’ve never used concrete after I get the post straight do I mix the water and mud in the bucket then pour or pour water in hole then concrete and mix it?
@ReluctantDIYers
@ReluctantDIYers 4 күн бұрын
Great question! A lot of people will tell you to mix the concrete before you put it in the hole, and that is a great approach. I prefer to purchase the Quikrete that you can mix in the hole to save time. With that, you pour the concrete mix in the hole and then the water. I’ve done this a ton and it works really well. 👍🏼👍🏼

Question, I just bought a 4 beam laser. But what is the point of the 2nd horizontal beam, as you can't adjust the distance between the two, it's set at the distance on machine, am I missing something here?
@ReluctantDIYers
@ReluctantDIYers 7 күн бұрын
This is a great question. You may have a project where you need to lay two parallel lines for trim, paint, etc. while you can’t adjust the beams on the device, you can adjust them by moving the level closer or farther from the wall/surface. I hope this helps. 👍🏼👍🏼

My friend's Grandpa uses this stuff and it is really easy to apply. He swears by it and his house looks nice. But he leaves it on for 3 minutes or longer in bad spots. Just be shure it won't mess up your siding first. Test it in a hidden area. The older the siding, the more problems it's gonna have with any product.

A new DIYer here, what could go wrong if I use 60T for everything?
@ReluctantDIYers
@ReluctantDIYers 11 күн бұрын
@AyoolaBoyejo this is a great question! Technically, you could use a 60 T blade for everything. However, what you’re going to find is that as you start to crosscut things like a 2 x 4, it will be a little bit more difficult to cut… Therefore slowing you down. You could even experience some kickback in your saw if you hit a knot or other tough areas in those types of lumber. My recommendation is always to have at least two blades. A 24T blade and a 40 or 60 T blade. This way, you can conquer most situations without any issue. I hope this helps!👍🏼👍🏼

If you have an older home, there's a good chance you can't easily open your window from the top. To get around this, you can open your bottom window halfway, reach out and up to grab the top window and pull it down. After that, you can push from the top of your window while inside to lower it if needed. Another factor to consider is that your screen may slot into the top of your window frame. In this case, you need to angle the top of your screen in first and push in, then pull your screen in until it's flush at the bottom. These types of screens often have a tension piece you manually push in to secure or pull out to release so make sure you can still reach them when installing your screen.

I have a bout 70' run from pool 20A buried line to shed. I run a 12/3 to shed with a RV plug. Works so much better than the 14. I run thru 2" PVC and that pvc has withstood TX summers, 2 ice storms, mowers weed wacker, etc... Someday I will get a trencher and run line to shed but for some lights and ocassional power tools it works well. Definitely not go bigger. 10 was out of budget but 12 will power a saw cutting 4x4 without lag where as 14 you can tell the motor was dragging and that was without the pool pump on. With 12 the 1.5hp pump and saw can keep going.
