It's a personal preference. I bought several model of Klein snippers throughout the years as the backups when they were on sales, but I have been only using Knipex snippers on the daily basis for over two decades.

Been an install tech for a decade. I used kleins for years but I’ve fallen in love with Jonnard Fiber shears. I can do anything I can do with kleins but better. Sharpest snips I’ve ever used.

I'm new to your channel I just wanted to add that Harbor Freight has these snips from their line Quinn and they're actually not that bad. I don't know what they're called but the serrations on the backside of the snips help score and/or just strip individual small annoying wires

Looks like HF's Quinn brand shears are basically a copy of the Crescent Wiss 6" scissors (discontinued). I have some and they seem good for the price.

I bought the Knipex just cause i have liked every other tool i have purchased from them but these weren’t for me yes they cut like a hot knife through butter but i am just too use to the traditional snips ergonomics so i went back to ny go to snips made by platinum tools there great quality and cut excellent

Feel like anyone’s that actually used knipex pliers they’d immediately like them better. Sucks because I’d rather support an American company but as far as pliers the quality isn’t even comparable

Have worked in the telecoms industry in the UK for many years, and I don't recall anyone ever using shears/scissors, but rather always diagonal cutters, usually 6" sometimes 5"...Why do you guys prefer shears for cutting wires/cables?

Ive hung over 3000 Hikvision cameras in my 8 years experience and i couldnt imagine really using snips vs diagonal cutters i prefer to use 8” variants with great results.

Been a telecoms engineer for years and the CK scissors were a game changer, saves carrying cutters and stripper. Just use the scissors to do both jobs, it’s easy not to go too deep into the copper especially when your fixing people’s fuck ups and there isn’t any slack in the back box

The yellow handle klein snips are trash. I have a 2 month old pair and it should cut velco easily but they don't. The only reason knipex isn't as popular is because only klein is sold at home depot otherwise you'd see a lot more of those knipex snips which i might check out now myself.

Please, I was ready to order the Klein 21010-6 (Carbon steel version) electritian snips. Are these the model you're refering to, when you said they dull fast? They cost twisce as much where I live and I was ready to order those. I'm not an electritian, I need them for general use, I work in maintenance and I also fixe everybody's stuff, so I 'd order these, to always have them on me. Are the Olfa SCS-2, going to be a better option, or go with Knipex?
