Oh yeah also for some reason the arrows didnt glitch out. I had the shield equipped and in the correct slot and I got the extra slot, however I did use a different bow with an ancient arrow instead of just switching to another bow after I had fired with the Bow of Light. Maybe that was why idk.

If someone's asking you nicely to subscribe, it doesn't necessarily mean thanking viewers who are already subscribed is against their character somehow, they're just doing that because they think it's the best thing to say to help their channel grow. Personally, I don't subscribe to anyone, just out of principle, because I don't want to feel a commitment to watching their new videos (the intended purpose of a subscription). But I don't mind the plugs as long as they're decent about it and it doesn't feel like they're trying to manipulate me.

I've seen other videos like this but you're the first one that actually put button commands and how to time it correctly. If I want to transfer arrows I'd transfer ancient arrows. A lot more useful than shock arrows. Thank you, Kleric!

Ancient Arrows is a good choice; I mainly just wanted to show that it wasn't limited to just that, as most people will have it end up that way, since Ancient Arrows are the last arrow slot if you've ever obtained one.

@@defnotjef111yearsago3 If you've collected all arrow types, then yes you'll need 3 extra bow or weapon slots (and not empty at the end) to get it to do shock arrows. Getting extra shield slots won't do anything for you.

Getting softlocked on the Load Save Menu? This means you viewed the memory and loaded the save _too quickly_ in succession. There needs to be a small delay. I wish I remembered to include that in the video. Also, at the end there's a chance that the Sheikah Slate cut-scene will interrupt you getting the autosave, which will give you the Sheikah Slate, and ruin your Inventory Transfer. I'm not sure what the best way is to prevent this, but I had it happen to me after immediately skipping the Wake Up cutscene; perhaps waiting it out is better? Idk.

I have tried this glitch with other tutorials 3 times now and had always failed. I beat Ganon and after loading the save file it took me to my latest save spot and never knew what I was doing wrong until you mentioned that I should not save a picture which I did every time I tried, this is the first tutorial that I've seen mention that and I hope that's what I was doing wrong because it is really frustrating. 😂 Anyway, great video and great explanation so thank you very much for this!

I have a tip that worked for me and makes getting the “view memory” prompt easier to get, face link towards the camera and press ZL immediately before opening your inventory and starting an attempt. Idk why but it seemed like it made the timing of the last bit of shenanigans more lenient

So either it pays off every time, in that you learn more about how the code functions, or it doesn't bother you too much when you don't find an exploit, because at least you spent the time playing your favorite game. That's how specific people end up becoming glitch hunters, if they find that really interesting and gratifying.

Quick tip before you go get weapons at hyrule castle: Do part of the Vah Medoh quest while you're at Rito Village. You can get 25 or so bomb arrows, which are super helpful for the Ganon fight.

For anyone who wants to know whether or not you can put your Switch into sleep-mode (so just click on the off button, not holding in); I had no problems with my no-death run. I went for the Hylian Shield++ and the BoL and that took me 10 days taking it easy and on my own pace, leaving the Switch on sleep-mode for entire nights, and I encountered no problems personally (my parents still divorced, however). It might be important to note that I always play on portable-mode instead of putting it in the console stand.

Sleep Mode is perfectly fine regardless of whether you play portably, or docked. As long as the game doesn't get closed, you're good.

Yes, but its durability is 100. What makes it unbreakable is the flag, which is not transferable unfortunately.

I did this glitch and everything worked fine... until I selected a file (after the Dark Beast Ganon fight) and I made the stupid decision of skipping the "Wake up" cutscene! Result? The Sheikah Slate cutscene appeared and the Inventory Transfer didn't happen!!! Oh, I wanted to kill myself!!! 😭😭😭😭😭 Well... I'm doing it for the second time and I hope I don't make the same mistake. Im glad you took the time to study this glitch and looking for info i know it wasn't easy and editing the video you are awesome Kleric i always thought if you die on that no save run you have to start up from the beginning but now i know you have to lives and you can restock that lost save just by going to load and back out apparently you can Transfer the hylian shield durability to weapons if that true then that means we can have 799 durability with weapons and probably bows two that would be insane but i don't remember where i watch that info still thanks to your efforts on this glitch 🙌🙌🙌🙌

I just finished following this guide and got my new save file with the Bow of Light. The hardest part was definitely the inputs in the setup. It took me a few days (~30 mins per day) to get the memory prompt to stay up. One time I got it, but I must have pressed the load and view prompts too quickly in the next part, because it softlocked. The second time I made sure to do it quickly, but not super quickly, and then it finally worked. The next thing to keep in mind is bows. Durability is a pain, so if you want to do the inventory corruption, make sure to bring along some durable bows, and use them VERY sparingly in the Ganon fights. Parrying is your friend. I only cared about the Bow of Light, so it didn't bother me when I went through a couple bows. Just to be extra safe, I made sure to fire an ancient arrow with a different bow. The arrow will travel in a normal trajectory in an arc, so make sure to aim higher and/or have enough ancient arrows for a few tries. This was a super helpful video. Well, it took six hours of my day, but I did it and I’m gonna say it’s worth it, because this is freaking awesome. If you want to do it, I have a tip for you: When you do the a up a clicks, make sure that you wait just wee bit of time before you hit watch memory, because if you do it too fast, then the memory will load before the save, putting you in a loading screen that doesn’t load, soft locking the game.

Cool glitch, great video. Some notes from my run, mostly for my future self, but for anyone else attempting to get NG+ with chained inventory corruption, BoL, Hylian shield with both modifiers, bows/weapons with Hylian shield durability, all Champion abilities upgraded, Master sword upgraded* and all available armors to level 4 (mainly out of boredom waiting for blood moons to respawn lynels), they might be useful. -activating memory storage - the AAA>A timing didn't quite work for me. Seems like there's some variable UI lag between clicking a sidequest marker on the map and getting an actionable lit "Open Adventure Log" prompt. Other tips (holding ZL, hammering inputs) also didn't work for me. In the end, I practiced the A>A (open adventure log, right, open memory prompt) separately until I had the timing very smooth. Then while performing the glitch, clicked AA to get through the Shrine Sensing and open the adventure log prompt, WAITED to see "Open Adventure Log" light up, then executed the practiced timing of A>A. Usually it was too fast (open for 1 frame), but eventually I'd tire out and get the right timing, within 15 minutes or so each attempt. I think only the final A is frame perfect, but this is easily the hardest input glitch I've done without any kind of buffering (possible to buffer through home button, maybe?). Good luck! -Sheikah slate cutscene was not forced in NG+: I have a hunch this might be related to whether you lose the Sheikah Slate by dying before setting up the Eventide travel medallion. I died, lost it (and went proudly pantsless through the Great Plateau), let the entire opening cutscene play on NG+, didn't move, and didn't automatically pick it up. Which was nice because I probably spent 40 hours on the no save run, would've sucked not to get modified Hylian durability on weapons after all that. -all Robbie gear except Ancient Arrows is locked behind Purah, and two pieces of equipment (Sandboots and Zora legs) are as well. So are upgraded runes. By far the biggest limiting factor, so if anyone finds a way around it, would love to know! It's pretty annoying that other NPCs direct you to Robbie AND you're even able to tell him you haven't met Purah in a normal run, but there doesn't seem to be any way to access him out of sequence. -champions ballad power upgrades will carry over. If you're planning to chain (as per El Duende's linked video) DISABLE revali's gale. Having it enabled drastically slows down moon jumping in the NG+ chaining portion. -master sword upgrade did not carry over, even though I didn't transfer shield durability to it. Probably a flag, but it sounded like other people had it transfer. -if you're planning to shield clip the TotS, recommend doing it early. First run ended with a crash there (possibly from skipping the sword pull cutscene with shield skew active). Also, quick note on getting through the 2nd wall (into Hinox room), use ZL to square with the wall, then backflip to get into a good clipping position. The first walls are much easier because you can just jump into them and auto square (see Kleric's video), but the Hinox ones can be a pain from the back. -Ballad of Champions is annoying. Each death, you need to recover the run, go back to the shrine, pick up another obliterator, quit the quest, and then dump the extra. If you have more slots you can go more rounds, but it's still annoying. If you have MJ active, for some reason the game will add a couple extra teleports in, which slows it way down. FYI if you accidentally equip the OHO outside the quest, you can remove it using a weapon mount. I switched to it thinking it would make an excellent golf club, being unbreakable and all. And it did! Hole in one. -had a run ending glitch where a blood moon occurred while I was doing the opening Champions Ballad quest - it restarted me afterward in the Shrine of Resurrection with 3 hearts and no stuff. No idea why, but I avoided blood moons diring CB on the successful run (shrines at midnight). Possibly would have been able to partially recover if I'd gone to Eventide (I think it acted as if I died and hit continue?). Anyway be careful with it. -amiibos are once a day (no way to save scum, and the game only seems to reference the system clock on startup, loading a save isn't enough). I kind of wanted a save with all post-divine beast content, so I was trying to take amiibo weapons back. I settled for FDS and Twilight Bow with Durability Up modifiers. Meh. -BLSS was a godsend and cut hours off the run. -I recommend periodically using flag transfer to grab either the Hylian Shield or Ancient Arrows chest (or whatever) and restart the game, if you do a run this long. Seems to help keep the game stable. -Probably best to keep on top of Lynel kills if going for Hylian modifiers. My blues and whites disappeared rather abruptly so I had to farm them through HC gatehouse encounters. There's other stuff to kill instead but Lynels are the least boring path to 9400. Have fun!

@@snuffle01 it helps when doing the memory pop up glitch to practice the pattern in your head. That way it helps that you don’t have to manually time it each time and can go by the rhythm

PROTIP FROM SOMEONE WHO JUST GOT IT: As anyone who has attempted to do this glitch and failed, or anyone who successfully did the glitch correctly knows, the hardest part of the glitch (aside from the no death run) is the precise series of inputs (A A A right A) to get the 'view memory' window to pop up from the map screen while the sheikah sensor is on 'shrines'. What really really worked for me here? 1. Turn the sound off (volume all the way down) 2. Don't look at the screen while doing this. This way, you are purely attempting to follow a rhythm, without sound effects or the screen distracting you. As soon as I started making attempts with while doing the above, I was able to get the glitch pretty quickly.

Just wanted to clear this up. After you go to your adventure log by pressing A 3 times after your y press, WAIT 5 frames before going to the memory tab and viewing a memory. Oh, and also make sure to not get in the habit of pausing immediately after doing the glitch and failing.

Hey nice, they found a way to make the setup playthrough not technically permadeath anymore! Honestly I think this glitch is just as interesting as a means to enforce permadeath as it is a means to mess with your inventory, but since most people who want to set up inventory nonsense would rather not complete a permadeath playthrough to do so, it's important in making it more accessible.
