Nice. Is the intention to go with some kind of "bottom up" effect to make it look like the ship is "growing" in place?

Hi, It kinda looks off, maybe as we are used to a water sippeling effect from the shows and movies. Maybe incorporate a slight RGB shift to add depth.

I do not think there is a lot of viable alternative takes on cloaking effects, then the Star Trek one. Even Stargate could not help but outright copy. No mater if it is Nox, Goauld or Ancient cloaking - all the same effect, with a different sound Only other cloaking effect I can think off is the Predators.
