I now have two Klipsch R-115SW and two pioneer 10" Andrew Jones powered subs. How would you recommend hooking up the two Pioneer subs in the rear? If I run a Sub cable to the back and spit it the cable would have to be about 45 foot or would you recommend the Klipsch wireless W-A2 wirelss kit? Please don't base your answer on who supports you. I think the cable would work best but as for simplicity the wireless controller in the back and split that would be super easy. Thoughts?

Thank you for the support and for the kind words. I will always give my honest opinion, regardless of whether a company has sponsored videos or not. 😀 I do not have any experience with Wireless adapters so I cannot give a recommendation on how well it works. I do not see one being a major benefit over the other except for running a long wire. If you can hide it (like under your baseboard) then that’s not a big deal. Cables are certainly cheap. Check out Monoprice or Amazon. Does that help?

Another great video. I'm really enjoying these comparisons and that software is fascinating. It's interesting to get to see how things really measure up side by side. Even though the SVS is more powerful for the same money you could have 2 of these Klipsch subwoofers and everyone says that's always better. Ohh, don't get me started with these bouncy house dolby enabled speaker used in Dolby Atmos, it doesn't work in all applications. If we want sound, then install an actual speaker there.

I tried with SVS. Truly I did. But in the end they just don’t have barely any punch at all. They seem be specialize in the more subterranean range. The room shakes but you don’t hear too much. I trade my SVS subs for JTR 18’s for my mains setup. And a Klipsch SLP150 for my second system. Not sure why SVS are tuned like that but they look much better on paper than they actually sound.
@Youthman2 жыл бұрын
Comparing SVS to JTR isn’t a fair fight. Completely different classes.
@Sloimer2 жыл бұрын
@@Youthman Completely agree. It's weird though, because I've heard subs that are both considered "below" and above SVS in terms of tier, and they both punch better. SVS just kind of vibrate the room. I plugged in my old RSW-12 and it was night and day better than my PB13-Ultra in terms of the chest punch factor, which drove me to try a few other SVS subs. The other SVS subs had the same weakness, even compared to my old Klipsch sub. They had more output way down low, but it was all subterranean room shaking bass - not very punchy or musical. So now I have the SLP-150 which is considered "below" some SVS subs, and the JTR's (same ones as you), and they both have the same punchy bass I look for (except the JTR's have 10x as much of it of course). It must just be the way the SVS are tuned.

Could the SVS driver, being heavier require more power to push its driver than the Klipsch? It is WAY more flat than the Klipsch vs the 50 Hz mark for the designed frequency, potentially due to the internal processing. After the lowest rated frequency, the crossover states, I am not designed to push this at this level, does not send the power needed to amp the heavier driver. Is it like seeing what car rolls further on idle, the heavy vehicle or the light one? Am I TOTALLY off on this guess?

@@Youthman They come with foam plugs that fill in the ports. It adjusts the frequencies, makes it act more like a sealed sub.

I understand that, I just did not understand the statement of tuning it to your room

Hey Youthman, I enjoy watching your videos. I'm hoping you can help answer a question. I have a pair of Klipsch R120SW coming of 2 sub preouts off my Denon AVRX6700H. I want to add this Pb2000. The plan is to do a Y split to the R120's and the second preout to this Pb2000. Would be interesting to see what you think about that setup.

How often does anyone have to replace a sub amp with klipsch? Because im wondering if its even worth purchasing an amp replacement for my sw-112

Who knows

@@Youthman yeah, I'm thinking it's worth it because there's no sub that will perform as well with my budget so I'll just spend the 192 bucks and get the amp

For sure

Kudos again. I suggest you do a low frequency test on your ears with the sub. If you can hear 10-20 hz even at low db it is still beneficial especially if you also feel it.

True but if it’s super faint, not much benefit. I might be wrong

Most air-sucking mortals can't hear much below 20 Hz. I just ordered the Klipsch SPL-150, only because it came free with my order for a pair of their RP-8000F II. I never would have paid the original price of $1399.00 for the SPL-150 Sub. Maybe that's why they gave it for free with my order.

You are correct, most people cannot hear below 20 Hz but you can certainly feel it. Once you experience single digits, it’s incredible. Yeah, I don’t feel $1,399 is a fair price for the SPL-150 when the R-115SW was only $799.

FAIL BIGTIME!!!!!!"10hz we lost all output, so definately you not gonna hear alot of this if any. Because you lost 30db output." Hahahaha. Im interested . You know anything about human hearing????? Human cant hear below 20Hz no matter how high the db is. This is fact. And you talkng about hearing at10Hz?? Just show you know nothing about sound and human hearing. Wich is fun considering the channel you have.

I am fully aware that you cannot hear subsonic frequencies, but you can certainly feel them. I will have to go back and watch to see what I said. Thanks for watching.
