Nice review. Also, very nice seeing a lady in this hobby.

Hi ! I'm glad you are not like some reviewers who give glowing review for everything they listen to. These speakers have some issues quite noticeable and considering their price, should have been adressed. Good job and thank you!

Great review. You mention stuff I haven't seen other people say on this speaker. Also you are correct the sensitivity is 86db like Erin's Audio Corner has measured.

On mine, I do NOT hear the slight treble boost you hear, but my ears are much older than yours. Your review is very informative and amiable.

Another great review, thanks potato fi! I looked at these but ended up going with some KEF Q150s. I liked the KEFs for better clarity, bigger soundstage (to my ears anyway) and smaller size. The RP600s did have somewhat better bass, but full agreement that both need a good sub to get full sound.

After hearing sound comparisons of the RP-600m's and RP-600mIIs, I do like the high end better on the originals. The MKII's sound a bit more muffled on the high end. However, with the MKII's you also don't have the hole in the frequency response at 1.5k, which is a known flaw of the original's. I agree with the OP that the high end on the Klipsch (either model) does get fatiguing after a while. I had found that a better choice over these speakers for something similarly sized and priced, would be the KEF Q-350's. I absolutely LOVE these. They are amazing. They have far better sound stage and imaging over the Klipsch speakers. Also, the concentric drivers mean you will have a more usable listening space as moving around the speakers doesn't affect the imaging as much as with standard, separate woofers and tweeters.

Can we have a review of the Klipsch RP-500M 2 ?

I bet they can sound hard in the treble unless using a warm amp or a amp with low dampening great review

A good integrated amp for under $ 500 from Rotel or nad c-31bbe should do the job..Nad & Rotel still show up used pretty regurley..I'm running some older Klipsch on that particular nad amp,..Rocks my APT!
