My late mother used to make this kueh neng ko. We used to take turn to beat using a copper spiral whisk. Was laborious but worth the effort. The smell of the kueh was so good. We used to apply planta or butter and eat with hot coffee. This video reminds me of my late parents and relatives. Thank you Mr & Mrs Liew

阿姐说得对,我用同样的配方做蛋糕在心平气和,悠闲自在时就很成功 , 心烦气燥,手忙事多时就失败。

You’re so funny 🤣... Nice recipe for steamed cake. You can try using cake flour which gives a finer texture or even Bao flour (sunflower brand) which gives a unique texture too. If you don’t want cake to be too yellowish with eggy taste, use eggs that have light yellow yolks. I use F&N ice-cream soda. Works fine for me.

Thank you for the lovely detailed recipe. One of the best kitchen appliances I have ever invested in is a Kitchen Aid cake mixer. I would highly recommend.
