Great video. As a retired airline EMPLOYEE of over 30 years, I can tell you KLM was one of my overall favorite airlines to fly, and Amsterdam, was W/out a doubt, my favorite European city to visit.

Those lights as you see about 19:15 are the lights of the greenhouses. It's of the biggest areas (roughly between Rotterdam and The Hague) where flowers are being grown. There are airlines with better business class. But I do like the KLM Long haul Business Class as well. But must admit the 2-2-2 setup it not the best plan, a reverse herringbone plan (like in KLM 787) is much better! In very few weeks will be also travelling KLM long Haul Business class again. Upper deck on 747, enjoying while they still use them! Keep up the good work!

No no no to the 2-2-2. Who the heck came up with that idea? "OK, let's configure the seats so the window passengers have to climb over the aisle passengers while they're trying to sleep." I couldn't even DO that, physically. I'm an old lady with a bad back, for God's sake. I guess I'm a little cranky about leaving fabulous Rwanda :-( Kigali looks like a nice airport, loved the silverback painting. Hope I get to see it in person one day. Dank u zeer, Dr. LTE!

I flew with this Airbus from KGL to AMS and back in 2017 but the return leg stood out for me. Night flight is not a thing for me because I have a hard time sleeping on airplanes. I love it during the day when I can see anything from my window seat. It doesn't matter what it is as long as I can see outside. Thanks for sharing your experiences with us.

KLM is just overall a great airline company. We fly a lot with KLM and have never had any issues. Plus it's often very reasonably priced, if you want to upgrade to business class 👍😊

Suite Life KLM isnt reasonably priced if you buy a ticket from Amsterdam! KLM is very expensive compared with other airlines. And KLM isnt great at all. I alway try as a Dutchie to avoid KLM. Its madness that even BC tickets with KLM is cheaper from brussels, Frankfurt etc! I live 20 minutes from Schiphol. I love Emirates, Qatar BC and even Oman air. Some people like direct flights more. But a transfer is okéy for me.

Zo werkt dat nu eenmaal.@@NoorNoor-ul5zh. Een Duitser krijgt ook niet de laagste tarieven als hij vanaf Frankfurt met Lufthansa vliegt. En een retour met Emirates vanaf Amsterdam naar Bankgok is goedkoper dan een retour met dezelfde airline naar hun thuishaven Dubai. De lagere tarieven moeten compenseren voor een extra overstap. Beter steun je je eigen maatschappij (oom al gaat er een stukje naar de Franse aandeelhouders) dan dat je al het geld naar de zandbak airlines brengt.

You can still see the Entebbe terminal building with the bullet holes. I took my first KLM flight in 1957 on a DC-7. It was one of my favourite airlines. Have no clue nowadays.

Flew KLM Houston to Amsterdam (747-300) to Dubrovnik (DC9, most turbulence EVER), December 1987. Went to the cockpit over the Atlantic. Flew KLM back from Dubrovnik to Amsterdam to Atlanta(747-200) in January 1987. They were fantastic.

Upgraded myself to business class on the A330 on a flight AMS-AUH later this year - I haven't travelled in KLM's world business class yet, looking forward to it even more now I've watched this! ...unfortunately then transferring to an Etihad A380 in economy for the rest of the loooong trip to Sydney. But I'll try and most the most of the first half of the trip ha!

Thanks for posting another of your very interesting and detailed reports. It's always a pleasure to watch them. KLM is one of my favorite airlines, mostly due to the constant friendliness of their crew. The hardware highly depends on the type of aircraft, though, and it's great to see that they finally revamped their A330's, too. Love the color scheme, the mood lighting and the new flight tracker ;-) I could even live with the 2-2-2 seating configuration. But in spite of all my sympathies for KLM and quite a high level of tolerance ;-), a few things appeared a bit tough here: 90 minutes stopover while having to stay onboard , no aperitif?, the entire meal served in one round so you better eat the starter quickly if you want the main course to stay warm, no separate desert/coffee/tea/chocolate service? It's a pity to see such an obvious difference in offer between flights to/from Africa versus to/from Asia.

I have never had an issue with KLM and have always been impressed with their service. I live in the UK and ironically my least favourite airline is BA. Last trip with them in Jan this year resulted in 2 flight delays and 2 missed connections meaning several additional hours spent hanging about in airports when all I wanted to do was "get going." On the other hand I have yet to experience any meaningful delay with KLM. Perhaps I have just been lucky but I don't think so looking at KLM's record.

The KLM A330's are leased planes. Most of them are ten years old. KLM could installed the heringbone figuration, but theses planes will return in couple of years anyway.

Great report! Unfortunately still a 2-2-2 configuration which looks half decent but can’t compete with carriers who offer direct aisle access for every seat. KLM is very safe and reliable but it is missing the A-factor. You can’t really blaming them for that since they are a corporate airline that has to operate without any goverment fundings.

In the Netherlands, they are discussing to ban fireworks all for safety (and many more things). Airlines need to apply to a lot of rules (many, many rules) so that’s why KLM is one of the safest airlines. I know this because I am Dutch.🇳🇱

“New” Business Class with 2x2 seating? Someone needs to go back to design school and/or pay attention to what International flyers expect. IMHO, KLM Business Class looks “passable” but definitely not anything to get overly excited about. 😞. I've only flown KLM once and it was great. Noted, it was only from Copenhagen to Amsterdam (1hr flight) but I was pleasantly surprised when they offered alcohol free of charge. Most airlines don't offer that during such short flights but KLM does. Overall my flight was excellent, punctual and crew were very nice! Nothing bad to say about KLM :)

It is a pity that partly due to the Corona that KLM had all A330 aircraft removed from the fleet. The refurbishment therefore now appears to have been a waste of money.
