It’s very unfair to compare Rwanda to the Congo. The more accurate comparison would be Uganda, followed by Kenya. And the gorillas inhabit an area that includes Rwanda, Uganda and Congo. Rwanda is special, and you’re are indeed missing a heartfelt lifetime experience if you don’t visit the genocide museum. Educational, rips your heart out, and you’ll want to crawl into a ball on the floor in tears seeing the last exhibit. I can barely talk about that last exhibit without getting very emotional.

They almost came up from nowhere and they are doing good, till two or three years ago , it was unthinkable to see them among the 10 best airlines in Africa and now it is becoming something common, congratulations Rwandair, but, i think it is too early to consider them better then Kenyan Airways, i have never flown with them, but i have good impression on them, at least their planes interior for me are better than Ethiopian Airlines.

You’re right, flying within Africa is so expensive partly due to insanely high taxes. Some airports proceed to charge passengers $20 on arrival and departure. Also, there’s no common continental regulatory body

Thank you for sharing your trip here. Visiting there in Rwanda has a lot of history there. It was nice to see the current airport there. And like you said the government there will be build a newer and larger airport inthe future. That is nice they have some outside funding for that. So, airline lounge a little less to have!😊 Hmm! Well, the boarding with the jet stairs is interesting. Furthermore, you made laugh mentioning about dressing for the heat but someone thought you were some British soccer or rugby athlete. Maybe next time going to and leaving a warm hot country, you can pack a pair of dockers kaki aand or jeans in your backpack.😊Hahaha😊 I am glad you were ok as you tried lay down comfortably take a little sleep or two.😊

There is also a contracted Pearl Lounge at KGL, serving all other airlines. TBH it's exactly the same except the sign at entrance 😁. No pre-take off drink? Nice to see the new menus with new wines and (2!😊) Champagnes. Also very nice to see 2 hot meals especially for a late night departure! Another outstanding video from you. Patrick, compared to what I can make, those crêpes you ate on board looked quite sad. I am quite skilled at making crêpes, both sweet and savory. For savory, my Seafood Crêpes are my best which include shrimp & crab meat in a cheesy white sauce. For sweet, one of my best and original have a filling of sweet ricotta cheese, lime zest, raisins and vanilla liqueur. Anyway, love your videos and this was another high quality and very informative. 9.887

I am really surprised by Rwandair, It seems that they are trying to do things well and grow as an airline. Business Class in terms of seats, curiously, I must say that it is better than Lufthansa's since on all their planes the BC configuration is 2-2-2, very outdated. I found the AK nice and usable. The service on board seemed standard, but they gave a Menu and a Drinks Menu. YOU DID NOT MENTION IF THE CREW WAS FRIENDLY AND EFFECTIVE. From what I have seen, Rwandair surprised me for good. Nice report !!!!

Rwanda is somewhat of a paradox, inasmuch as its low GDP per capita figure belies how well the country works. From what I have seen, I would have guessed that the country had at least 6,000 usd gdp per capita, and not just around 1,000. Compare it with Angola, with 4 times more output per head, but the country looking a lot poorer and less well run than Rwanda.
