Ik heb nog luchtvaart boeken uit die tijd die mijn moeder had verzameld. Geschreven door Fokker, Smirnoff, Viruly, van Beek en ook over de Melbourne race waar de KLM ook aan mee deed

If one read square-cramped Chinese letters in LCD screen, I could not imagine the pressure it gives to one's eyes. My perspective. 8:18 a.m. 04122021.

Het luchthaven gebouw uit die tijd is nagebouwd in Lelystad, bij Aviodrome. Schitterend gebouw, absoluut de moeite waard om te bezoeken.

If you consider all this happened just 40 years after the Wright brothers flew and only another twenty years landing on the moon the industrial revolution was indeed astounding. Although it might be the cause of humans extinction event in the near future, what a ride huh?

Yes. Not many people realize this fact. It is actually less than 40 years; amazing.

Interesting PH-ALP DC3 crashed April 1937 on delivery to KLM
@abwo47 Жыл бұрын
No it crashed on 3-3-1942. Shot down by a Japanese Zero fighter near Carnot Bay, Australia. It was registered than as PK-AFV. In this movie you can see it flying under the registration PH-ALP and in the morse radiocommunication I heard the operator working with Schipholradio/PHA. He was using the callsign PLP which is short for PH-ALP

KLM received their 1st DC-3 in 1936, so this was filmed sometime later.

Unless it is a DC 2? They started flying DC2's to Batavia in 1934. They famously flew one to Australia.
