I just did a bunch of that stuff on my '89 KLR250. Cleaned and painted the header pipe, touched up the black engine paint, recovered the seat with stretch black vinyl and put new fork boots, grips, sprockets, chain and tires on it. In a few days I am headed to Canada for a week of off-road riding. Love the KLR250 and your videos!

Picked up a '96 last week with 2,200 miles on it for $1,400. Runs great. It's the teal with the purple frame and seat. haha Thought about trying to paint it. My gf thinks it's ugly as hell but it's starting to grow on me. lol

Looks amazing. How’d you like the bike. I just got an 86 I am going to rebuild

I can't wait to repaint mine. The guy before me repainted it but didn't do a great job (not removing the seat for instance). I'll probably have to sand or something as the paint has run lines.
@HeroRR8 жыл бұрын
I should have sanded down the plastics a little on my side covers, but oh well, still looks nice :) lol

Awesome videos bro. You're the only smaller moto vlogger I actually watch and really enjoy. Also just wanted to let you know at the end it says "Clear here for part 4". I guess it is supposed to say "click here". Keep up the awesome videos.

I don't have any experience in bikes i just sometimes had drove some 50cc.I started liking bikes a lot and i want to jump into the sport. Do you think ninja 300 is good for a first bike or is too much.

Sweet series man. If you wouldn't mind, would you do a round up of the total cost of fixing the bike?
@HeroRR8 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure what the total costs were. But they have been extremely low. I mean, I've spent probably close to $200. $30 for jets (that I didn't even need), $5 for spark plug, valve adjustment cost me nothing. $30 in paint (aesthetic), $70 for a baffle for the exhaust and heat shield (didn't need either of those) plus misc bolts and screws, etc. (~$20), and a new air filter ($10). I spent more on mods and things of that nature, but honestly the bike didn't require much at all. It's a very cheap bike to own and maintain. :)

Awesome bro!I wanted to ask you a question!Is Yamaha R6 friendly for a new moto driver?
@HeroRR8 жыл бұрын
No, it's probably the least friendly 600 there is, it has a nasty bite of power in the top end that will easily catch a new rider off guard. Also it's super aggressive ergo's make it even harder to deal with as a first bike.
@Iwannispanop8 жыл бұрын
***** So, as you had suggested on a video, cbr 600rr is friendly right?
@HeroRR8 жыл бұрын
John 'S' It was just an april fools day joke video lol. I don't think any 600 is beginner friendly. I think you can get by if you start on one, but it isn't the correct tool for the job.
@LegendNoah8 жыл бұрын
I bought a 600rr cbr 2007 couple months ago first bike to start on. Dont listen to all the bull. As long as you have common sense and can control your body, cbr 600rr is fine to start on

Awesome videos! I have an '85 KLR 250 and I'm currently giving it some TLC. Do you remember what kind of paint you used on the plastics? I'm worried some may peel... Currently using Duplicolor white primer/base automotive paint and Spraymax 2k for the tank.
