Finally pulled the stock carb today for the first time, for cleaning and jet upgrade. What a pain lol. Seriously thinking about swapping for this 22mm now. Any recommendation for jet size with the stock exhaust?
@FullSpeedImpulse6 күн бұрын
Honestly depending on your elevation. You might be pretty good with stock jetting. If you drill out the restrictor and cutout the baffle you’ll definitely be good. I say cutoff the baffle instead of removing because leaving the tip gives it a cleaner look and not such a clapped out sound. Sorry for the late response! And yes no pleasure in taking these carbs off. Lol

Love this shit. Just picked up another '22 klx140. Exhaust on the way, new front springs, and rear shock on the way. Might pick up that 22mm carb too and itll be a ripper.

Yup the 140s are Cadillacs for sure. We have more videos coming out installing the tb cam and a bbr rev box. Don’t forget to drop a tooth on your front sprocket too

@@FullSpeedImpulse Why did you go with the 22 instead of the 26? The 26 seems to be popular, but people also seem to have issues with them.
@FullSpeedImpulse7 күн бұрын
@spartanx169x Well it does seem that some people have had luck with the 26mm. I wanted to try the 22mm because I’ve had a lot of good luck with this carb already. I’ve also ran this bike with guys that have the big bore and 26mm carb. And in the end, It’s up to the rider on who’s going to be faster. Just not enough power difference in my opinion. Which I am surprised. I don’t think there bikes were a 100 percent dialed in though. Personally wouldn’t be against trying the 26mm carb and seeing how she runs.

Looking for an update video on this. My 2020 klx140 runs like doodoo. I am at elevation, need to mess with the jettings. I need the bike to run decent enough at 6000'-10000' Just wondering if I should purchase this carb and then mess with jettings or just mess with the stock carb. Thanks man.

@@FullSpeedImpulse it is completely stock. Not looking for much more power just for it to run well. Thanks for the reply

@keatonpeterson9176 well normally these bikes are jetted pretty lean from the factory but that’s at a elevation of 600ft. Lol. I would try going leaner on your jets with your stock carb. Does it start okay then run like crud?
@keatonpeterson91764 ай бұрын
@@FullSpeedImpulse it is definitely running rich. I was thinking better airflow would help lean it out, maybe a different carb would be better to get more airflow. I'll start with the stock carb. Is the uni filter mod worth cutting up the air box for? Thanks man

I’ve got a 2022 klx140RF. Would this be a direct bolt in? I see Amazon sells them cheap

I’d be careful on buying the cheap ones. I get mine from tboltusa

Dude I can’t get my 24klx140 to run good with the vm26 kit. Have you had good luck with them? If so what carb settings ? I’m at 1000 ft bogs like crazy past 1/4 throttle.
@FullSpeedImpulse4 ай бұрын
Are you running a 26 on a stock bore or did you do the Bigbore kit too?
@NittoSmoke7704 ай бұрын
Stock bore. I figured out today it’s lean on a 190main doing wide open runs looking at the plug.

Is there a way I can adjust the stock carb air to fuel on a 2024 klx 140 some people cut a slot for a flat head to on the brass plug but it’s running lean with the slip on
@FullSpeedImpulseАй бұрын
Definitely need some jets in her. Don’t be afraid to put in jets. More fuel more power and way easier starts. They come lean from the factory, so the fact you have added exhaust she definitely needs it now.

What all do you have done to your bike? And did you rejet the 26 at all?
@thomasmaxson42304 ай бұрын
I would think the 22mm would do well to create good low end and mid range grunt for Woods riding. The smaller opening creates a faster intake vacuum, better snap open throttle control without the engine getting the occasional hickup. Try plugging the vacuum port for the air cut valve if your carb has them. It will make the bike run better when you need to chop the throttle multiple times.
@FullSpeedImpulse4 ай бұрын
@thomasmaxson4230 yep bike ran great on the trip!!! 22mm for the win again!!! I’ll have to look into the vacuum port you’re talking about it.

@FullSpeedImpulse3 ай бұрын
@jasonphillips3297 I purchase the 22mm from tboltusa. You have to be careful there are two versions. You do not want the carb with the main jet access on the side of the bowl.
