Super great guy and well done he is a hero. I would like to hear the final outcome of this man’s accident. The snoring sound the guy is making is often referred to as the death rattle. It happens in the final stages before someone dies of internal injuries. He may have saved him from drowning, but the man probably died from his internal injuries.

Not every story has a happy ending, it doesn’t mean there wasn’t a hero, it just means that the story for some ended there, while it continued for others. So many people have been used to watching the world through a screen the last decade and a half. It's desensitized people. I can't even pin it on younger people who have been raised their while lives with smartphones. I have been to concerts with different people who simply can't watch the concert. They have to watch it through the phone bc they insist on recording the whole thing. Same with going out with friends to dinner. The table gets quiet, and everyone starts messing with their phones. I know those are not the same as saving a life vs. filming it, but it just shows how people can't live in the moment, and they remove themselves from the situation. So yeah, a lot of people would see what that man saw and think, "I have to stream/record this."

Coming from a critical care nurse who wishes more people had the desire to learn basic lifesaving skills, THANK YOU, genuine sir. The fact that you had the drive to follow up with this horrible incident and attempt to save him despite initially thinking it would be of no use gives my heart chills; I feel absolute victory for all involved. I can’t tell you how many lives I know could have been saved if all someone did was try… Well done.
